Is 3-Night a good 'test-cruise'?

Our first cruise was a 3-night on the Dream followed by 3 days at WDW and it was a prefect vacation. We then booked a 5-night on the Magic which was even better. This year we have a 7-night on the Wonder which I anticipate will be even more awesome.

If you're a little gun shy, a 3-night is a great way to test the waters. I was unsure about booking a 4-night because I was afraid of a day at sea. If I had it to do over, would I book the 4-night? Probably not. The 3-night was perfect at the time for our budget and trepidation level. And followed by several days at WDW was perfect.

Three is better than none, but I too would suggest a four night cruise. If you are planning on doing shore excursions and hitting the shops in Nassau and spending most of your time enjoying Castaway Cay, three nights doesn't give you any time to explore and enjoy the ship. And Disney Cruise Line ships are beautiful. This is my advice for anyone trying to decide one which length cruise to choose. We did a four night cruise for our first cruise, I was the one that thought it would be long and boring. We will be taking cruise numbers 8 and 9 this year. If one or both of you do find it boring, don't go on any more cruises. Hopefully you all will enjoy it so much you will be booking a longer one while on board.

Yes. That's what we did. We originally did a three night Caribbean cruise because we weren't sure we would enjoy it.

We're now going on a seven night Alaskan cruise this year because we loved the first cruise so much. And, provided that cruise goes well, the next time we visit Disneyworld, we'd love to do a seven night Caribbean cruise.

We have done 4, 7 and 12 night cruises. The 4 night was too short for me, I felt like just as we were getting to know our waiters, etc. it was time to get off. One of the things that really sets Disney apart is the great relationships you have with your serving team, cabin steward, etc. and I don't think you can really experience that on the shorter cruises. However, if I had to choose between a 3 or 4 night cruise or not cruise at all, I'd definitely go with cruising!
