This will be our first time going to IOA/ US. We are a family of five (kids are 7, 8 and 9) and staying at HRH.

We will be there in October for our first family trip to Florida:D

I have only two days planned for Disney and the kids (and DH) really want to spend most of the time at US/ IOA.

Is three days TOO much time there?

Thanks for any input!

Hi Mom to Ken Dan and Tom!

3 days too much? NO way!! Our last trip in December we toured 3 days also and it was plenty of time to see it all at a comfortable pace. This trip we are staying 7 days at Hard Rock going to Disney for one of those days and spending the rest at IOA/Universal with a day at Seaworld too. I am really looking forward to being able to enjoy some down time just relaxing by the pool.

3 days is great! You can do a park a day and on the third day go back to both to cover your favorites again! The kids are gonna have a ball! Have a great trip!

I agree, 3 days is perfect, you'll have time to do it all & not be rushed.
Not just to "ditto" JessicaR , but it's true ! I love the 3rd day because thats the day we go to both parks & hit our favorites over again !
You'll have a super time !
Enjoy !

Man you will need three days, time just goes so fast, we did three days9third day free from Discover). The third day is reride of your favorites in both parks....

The third day is also great for really taking in the scenery at the parks. The first 2 days you tend to overlook alot.

I agree with everyone else. Since you are staying onsite, the Express pass will make it easy to see everything you want to within the 3 days without going at commando speed. That is the great thing about onsite Express. Then you can soak in more of the atmosphere and beauty of the parks. There is so much to see and you miss a lot of it when you don't have enough time to slow down. Also, you will have time for nice afternoon breaks at the wonderful HRH.

Have fun!

Nan

Two nights, three days is perfect for universal/IOA. We go to universal the first day, IOA the second day...and then hit all the favorites again on the third day, while taking a closer look around. The universal parks are a blast and the front of the line access is wonderful. You will also enjoy city walk...great restaurants, always something fun going on!

I may be a contrarian, but I don't think you'll need three days. I notice your kids are 7, 8, and 9. Are they big enough to go on the coasters? If not, that's a sizable chunk of IOA. Because you're staying on site, you get see a tremendous number of attractions without much waiting. We just went with two kids, age 7 and 9, and did most of what we wanted to see in both parks in one day, including lunch at Mythos. We could have used a second day, but a third would have been too much. If I were you, I'd use the third day for Sea World.

Just back from 4 days at the HRH, for us, it was not long enough...

Next year we will stay at least a week...

3 days is NOT too much time. It is wonderful to see and do everything...and take it in...and enjoy lunch...the scenery..and all!

It was great!! You will not be wasting your time with the 3rd day!
