We plan on arriving late afternoon on a Tuesday so kids don't miss school. Figured we would use waterpark Tuesday til close, sleep in and do their breakfast. Want to go tubing at Camelback on Wednesday (hours are 2-8). Then use waterpark on Thursday til we leave to drive home. My kids are 10, 11, and 14. Will they be tired of the waterpark??

If we just stay the one night we would arrive early Tuesday and use the waterpark. We would skip the tubing and leave late Wednesday to drive home after using the waterpark most of the day.

First scenario would cost us roughly $820.

Second scenario would cost roughly $367.

BIG difference!!!!

We usually go for 2 nights (my kids are 11 and 12) and find that it is the right amount of time. We also spend one day doing snow tubing. There are plenty of things to do in the hotel. In addition to the water park, there is the Gr8 Space Teen room with video games, the arcade, the magiquest and also the race car room.

Your 14 yr old might get bored. My now 16 yr old was bored when he was 14 even though he had his 12 yr old brother there with him. Have fun though!

We've done both. If you are only doing the waterpark, 1 night is fine. However, if you are doing tubing, 2 nights sounds the way to go. When we did 2 nights, we also did magiquest - I'd never do magiquest if we were only staying 1 night. The park is usually less crowded first thing, then crowds build, and then there is a point where people have yet to check in, and those who checked out are on the road, around 1 or so. It then gets more crowded, but once dinnertime hits, it gets empty again - the last hour can be really, really fun.

The food there is expensive - plenty of very close restaurants to chose from.

We've never done more than 1 night, since you get 2 days worth of water park and that is enough for us. Heck my kids even wanted to leave earlier the 2nd time we went, so that was the last time for us. What about staying elsewhere the night before or your departing night. You would get 2 full days at the water park and save that $$$ - just a thought. It might be a hassle, but then again it could be fun.

Unfortunately my hubby would never agree to moving after the first night to another hotel. Too much to pack and unpack and repack for the five of us.

Has anyone done the breakfast you can book at time of reservation? It will cost us $50 for the five of us. Was wondering if it's a buffet or not. Also, if you felt the food was good.

You should have the whole place to yourselves on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so scenario 2 is plenty time

We pre-ordered the breakfast when we were there this past summer. Definitely worth the couple bucks savings to pre-order. Tip and juice was even included in the price. The food was plentiful, lots of choices, but appeared to be prepackaged, not homemade. Yes, it is a buffet. It still tasted ok and was filling, so we didn't need lunch. We left when everyone started to get hungry and ate at a restaurant on the way home.

I wouldn't stay for more than 2 nights but that is if I was just using the waterpark. It's tons of fun, but not big enough to do more than one night IMO. We're going to Sandusky in April!
