Hi
Just wondering if you think that 2 nights is long enough at dlp. We arrive approx 10:30am on the monday and leave the parks at about 3:30 on the wednesday. I was thinking about booking an extra night but was wondering if it would be better to go for the 2 nights this time and then have another trip for longer in january.
Not sure if we will be able to fit in everything we want to do in 2 1/2 days although we do go on 20th september so hoping that the queues want be that long. Id be grateful for some advice.

Thanks

Hi there! We usually go for a few nights, but only have two days in the actual parks. We get what we want to do done pretty easily in this length of time, but I don't know if I would say you'd be able to see everything in that length of time. If you're planning on maybe going back in January though that wouldn't be a problem. Have a fab time!

If it's your first time then I'd say that it's not long enough. If you have been a few times then it's probably about right.

I'd say to stay for as long as you can afford to on the first trip to ensure that you see the most of both parks.

I'm torn about this.

I always go for 2 nights/3days. I'm there at the parks for around 11.30, and leave on our 3rd day around 5pm. If you want to see absolutely everything there is to see, and do everything there is to do, then no, in my opinion, 3 days is not enough. However, if you have children, you may not want to see absolutely everything (for example, big coasters are out for us completely, as DD is a wuss). On our mother/daughter trips (DD is 7) we can easily fit in everything we want to see and do, with time left over for our favourites all over again, in 3 days in the parks.

My sister and her family went to DLRP around the same time you are going, in mid-late September, midweek, termtime. They only had 2 days in the parks, and they did do most of the big coasters, plus waited for princess autographs etc and kids stuff too (Dniece was 6 at the time) and they did everything they wanted, and a couple of favourites twice over, in those 2 days.

Personally, if I got a free night and day with my DLRP booking, I'd take it, but I wouldn't pay extra for it. I am exhausted (you won't believe how much walking you do!) after 3 days at DLRP - but its a good kind of exhausted :rotfl2: .

My feeling is an extra day on your trip would give you time to revisit favourite attractions. As well as allow you to spend a bit of time enjoying the detail of the parks :)

It really does depend if you're an old hand or if you're new to DLP.

We have been several times and did a 2 nighter in Feb this year. My feeling was that it wasn't really long enough but it was better than nothing!

The thing about 2 nights is that you are travelling on days 1 and 3 and only get one whole day/night in the parks, which to my mind isn't really enough to fully sink into the whole experience.

If you're a repeat visitor looking to whizz round and do your 'favourites' with a bit of time for parades/shops/general wandering, then 2 nights is ample, you'll get it all in. If however you will be exploring for the first time then I would recommend 3 nights to give you time to enjoy the whole thing without it being a bit of a mad dash.

Its def better than nothing and you are going midweek term time so it should be ok, though. I'd take the extra day and night...well, it'd be rude not to really. (!)

We had 2 x 3 night / 2 full day trips last year and I'm not keen on doing it again.
Despite having 3 previous trips with a total of 14 park days, on our trips last year we didn't manage everything we wanted to do and didn't even set foot into WDS.
So IMHO 2 days is not long enough, but if you are planning on returning in January, then you can catch up on what you miss then. :)
