We have decided to do Universal for the first time staying at PBH for 2 nites...we were planning to head over to AKL fairly early on the 3rd day b/c I was concerned about DD7 not having enough to do....For the experts, what would that be the best thing to do? Stay the 3rd day at Universal or go at about 11:00am to AKL? I have to let the limo service know. The passes aren't a concern for either park... (We have 5 day passes for Universal..it was cheaper than the 2 day). I don't want to cut us short at Universal if we love it but I also want to get our time at WDW! Thanks!

Since you are staying on site you will have FOTL access therefore it is doable, however our son loved to do rides over and over that he liked so sometimes we missed shows/attractions because of this. But you will be able to see both parks in two days, it will just be at a quicker pace.

I think you all will have a blast at Universal Studios. Since you are staying onsite, you will have FOTL which will help cut the wait time drastically...in most cases. This makes for enough time to explore and redo favorites. I will be taking my cousin to Universal/IOA for the first time without the FOTL and we have 2 days. I know we can at least get most done, so you should have no problem.

It seems like you all really like AK (or at least Disney parks in general) and I say, go ahead and do 2 days for Universal and 1 day AK. That way you don't feel bad if things turn out that you like it better than expected but then if you don't, you still have the AK. Worse comes to worst, you'll just have to plan another trip back to go to Universal again! ;)

Have fun!!!!

Since you have the five day passes you could always hop back before you go home. Two days will probably be enough to wet your appetite and make you plan for 3 days in your next vacation.:p

We had to leave for the airport at 1pm on our last trip so we asked for a late checkout. We were at the park gates when they opened and did a favorites tour of both parks and we were back at the hotel in time to check out, grab our luggage, and be out front when our car arrived. Since we were staying at the HRH it was only a short walk to the parks so we didn't have to wait for the boat.

If you decide which attractions you want to visit the morning of your last day you should be able to get lots done and still have time to visit a park at WDW.

I'm guessing from your counter you'll be doing 7 nights (fairytale package) at WDW toward the end of October so don't shortchange yourself at US/IOA. If it was me and I'd probably do an entire day at US/IOA and then transfer over to Disney.

Whatever you decide I hope you have a great trip.
