Is 160 pp that bad?

i could have sworn the net price (maybe for AKV) came down after the initial purchase offering.

Not sure about AKV, but BLT purchase price per point dropped when the Great Recession was clearly worse than people expected.

However, they kept the base price the same, but they used incentives to lower the actual price people paid.

Keep in mind, DVD opened Kidani, BLT, THV, and VGC in the same year. That was over 10 million points added to the system at the same time they were just starting the foreclosure process on a lot of points.

doubt that will happen at poly but it's not impossible that they would raise the asking price but offer $10-15 in discounts if sales are a disappointment...

I think that's what Carol was saying. They would discount more but the base price stayed the same.

For BLT, VGC and I also think AKV you could have gotten points for less if you waited and didn't buy in the initial offering.

I was not freaked out by the 160...that is what I paid two years ago for my BLT- I bought direct

However the points I purchased were reasonable enough for me to know we could get a 1 bedroom villa for a week for my family every two years. (now that kids are older...etc...I need to get more points of course)

However even though the poly is 160 to purchase...those points don't go very far and even if I were able to get something there one day at the 7 month window...I wouldn't have enough points to afford the bungalow to fit my family

Love the poly, but BLT has fit my needs for now! I would rather to be going to disney than wishing and waiting to go!

The price per point, combined with the points required per night combined with the high starting MF make the poly an extremely expensive escort to stay at. Totally out of my price range.


With all those studios there I am perfectly willing to use my resale SSR points to try and get in when I can't get into VGF or BLT!
