Irons at Bonnet Creek

Hi, Not that I want to , but does anyone know if there are irons and ironing boards at Bonnet Creek? Also, what exactly do they come with?

While we have not yet stayed at Bonnet Creek, we have been to at least a dozen other resorts managed by Wyndham/Fairfield. Every one has had an iron & board in the utility closet, along with a vacuum cleaner & broom.

Have a fun trip! We look forward to a 5-night stay there this winter!

Oh, and what did you mean about what they come with? IF you meant in terms of supplies, I can tell you the standard for these resorts...

coffee filters, 1 packet each coffee & decaf
2 packets sugar/creamer/sweetener
bottle dish soap in kitchen
new scrubber or sponge
2-5 packets dishwasher detergent
roll paper towels
dish towels, wash towel, pot holders
plastic trash can liners under sinks
bar soap at sinks & tubs
small bottle hand lotion at bathroom sinks
(some have had small bottles of shampoo at tubs, some have not)
bath tissue & extra roll in every bathroom
box tissues under bathroom sinks
1-2 single use boxes of detergent on top of washer/dryer

beds all made w/fresh linens & bedding
sofabed sheets, blanket & pillows in master closet
towel sets in bathrooms & under bathroom sinks
pool towels, either in a closet, under a sink or in lobby/pool area

cookware - set of pots & pans, microwavable covered oven casserole pans, baking sheet, cooking & serving utensils
dinnerware - set of dishes, coffee cups, glasses & wineglasses, eating utensils, salad bowls
mixer, blender, toaster, drip coffee maker
tupperware-type pitcher, storage & mixing bowls

We bring our clothes, personal toiletries, books/music, food & a little extra detergent/dryer sheets in a ziploc. Everything is pretty much there, otherwise. It's great! HTH!!!

I've stayed at Bonnet Creek and they do have an iron and board in the closet. It's a very nice, new resort and great location.

what was the price range?

they tried to suggest at our "update" at a wyndham resort that Bonnet Creek was very hard to get into since all the owners of fairshare want to stay there.......and there was not much availability

Availability to other timeshare owners (outside of Wyndham/Fairfield) is definitely limited. Bonnet Creek weeks are very rarely deposited to RCI. If a rental is a 7-night reservation that cannot be changed, I might suspect an exchanged week, though, which is against RCI policy, and therefore, risking cancellation by RCI and/or the resort if they found out that it was rented out.

We were able to book offseason time there this winter using our Wyndham points, ~4-5 months ahead. However, we got the last 1BR available for that time slot. And prime holiday time disappears earlier. The eBay listing may have been a reservation made in advance by another Wyndham points owner, then listed for rental. That's a legitimate way to be reimbursed for maintenance fees if an owner cannot make use of their points for their own vacationing.

To see what kind of pricing is available on eBay, for anything in the recent past, just do an "Advanced Search" on eBay. Enter the keywords, "bonnet creek" and check the box that says "completed listings only." Then you'll see what the recent going rates have been for completed auctions.

As Lisa says, you can check on Ebay, but to answer your question, I paid less that $450.00 plus tax for a 1 bedroom. They do have two bedrooms also. They availability seems to be last minute, or at least within the next month. Nothing too far out, so it worked for me, as this was a last minute trip. If you are planning a trip for farther out, it may not work for you.

If you are willing to rent last minute, there are lots of VIP owners who get a hefty discount on these reservations so they can be had for cheap. If you want to plan in advance, you are not as likely to get a deal as the owner would not be able to recoup costs on a low priced rental. Within 60 days VIP Platinum owners get a 50% discount.

The member services personnel we talked to "alluded" to how he did a lot of last minute reservations with Wyndham ( he probably has a fair number of points that puts him in the VIP category )

he really stressed the VIP program, said it had not changed in years ( which i took with a grain of sand, since recent reports on TUG seem to suggests the times they are changing with respect to the "perks" )

it is interesting that you had to pay tax on this unless the vendor collects state taxes

do no see why an owner would have to pay "tax" for using his/her points to acquire a week

The reason there was tax, is that it was purchased from the owner, but through a rental company.
