Ironman Wisconsin Race Report

Wow, Matt. Can't even put it into words. You are amazing. We are so proud of you. You have no idea how many of us absolutely couldn't sleep that Sunday night until you had crossed the line. Krista and I even had to hook up to the wi-fi on our flight Sunday afternoon just so we could keep tracking you online. I told about 40 people at work the next day (including one of my training partners who is a 6-time ironman) casually, "yeah, we have a buddy from Florida who just finished IM Wisconsin last night. No big deal. Just a day's work for him. Yeah, he's awesome."

YOU.....are an ironman.

(and by the way, i'm INSANELY jealous of your 140.6 bumper sticker. I want to earn one of those some day!)

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for their kind words. I tell ya, I thought about a lot of you and the challenges you all face during that loooong day and it kept me going. What an amazng accomplishment! Truly something to be proud of and carry with you the rest of your life. I am so proud of you and all the hard work that went into training for this. I can't even begin to fathom doing a distance like that. You have such a great support team and am so glad you had that support at the race. Your report brought tears to my eyes (multiple times!)!

It was so great to meet you and Cheryl and hang out for a while on Saturday. You guys are a blast!

Matt, I had to wait to read this. I am so proud of you! Your report is so thorough and definitely an inspiration. We talked at RftT about figuring a "proper" tat placement. A guy passed me at the Des Moines event with his IM tat center calf. He was lapping me doing the full while I was pushing my half I instantly thought of you Matt. You are IRON MAN!
