Do the staterooms come with irons? Or do we bring a travel iron?

There isn't a iron in the stateroom, but you can find one in the laundry room.

No to both. For fire reasons, there are no irons in the rooms and you are not supposed to bring one. There are irons available in the laundry rooms (one on deck 2,6, and 7).

I thought they did not allow you to bring irons on board. Having a fire on a ship is the worst thing that could happen. That is why they only want them in the laundry areas.

Your on vacation, who wants to iron anyways? You can have things sent out to be pressed for very little $$$.

You can also send your clothes off to have them ironed. I am not sure of the cost. I bought a bottle of Downy wrinkle release and sprayed all of the clothes when I unpacked. It worked fine for us, no wrinkles.

Worked great for us too!!!

How do the irons in the laundry room look? Are they dirty and old? I'm just wondering if they will stain our clothes when we use them.

What is going on with this thread? I knew I posted a response, but it does not show up unless you click to submit a reply... WEIRD.. Kcashner's post is not showing up either...

When we went in April we brought a mini travel iron on. It was just alot easier since we were on vacation for 2 weeks to just iron when we had time. Plus i never know what i want to wear.

Sorry, but bringing an iron and using it in your cabin is just insane. Same with candles. Both are the ultimate is unsafe things to do in a densely populated ship.

Several years ago I had an TRAVEL iron that overheated and almost caught a dorm room on fire. We often don't think about it but irons are just too dangerous to use anywhere anywhere on the ship except the laundry rooms where they have a special circuit and an automatic shutoff on the iron.

On the Magic last May, the iron was good quality, well maintained and clean. I didn't have any problem using it on a WHITE linen blouse. The temperature mechanism also worked fine to control the heat when I needed a cooler iron for some polyester fabrics.

PLEASE don't take a chance by using your own iron. I have a hard enough time remembering to turn off my CURLING iron.

If you are concerned about the cleanliness of the iron, take a towel down with you. Put the towel between the iron and your clothes, and nothing will come off on your clothes.

Or if you feel the need to take your own, use it in the laundry room so that you'll be sure to unplug it in order to take it back to your room.
