I have noticed from the map that Disney provides about other locations to use your points that they show a spot in SW Ireland looks like the Kerry area. When I try to look it up on the web site it doesn't show anything in Ireland does any one know if there is a resort in Ireland that you can trade points for? I know there are alot in the UK but I like Ireland much better. Thanks for any info.

this one is listed under the UK

Kenmore Club - Kenmore,Perthsire, Scotland

this is an II exchange - so I would make the request now - you will probably be on the waiting list for a while

there is also

Dalfaber Golf and County Club - Aviemore, Inverness

on the member website

you need to lick on plan your getaway - then world passport - then at the bottom click on the country that you would like -

if you need the adobe acrobat reader the site tells you how to get it.

If you ever feel the need to come I have a weekend cottage in Ballycastle NE ireland
check on my site links

pmcpmc and Swood89083:

DH and I spent a week in Ireland the last week of June. Flew into Shannon and drove the southern half circle, then flew out of Dublin. Then we flew to Scotland for a week. Really enjoyed the trip. DH spent too much time golfing though and I didn't get to see as much as I had wanted. We found Ireland very difficult to drive around (we rented a car). Very few road signs, no house numbers. We found most of our B&Bs by calling for directions. Highly recommend the Cliffs of Moehr (awesome sight), the Ring of Kerry or Dingle Peninsula, and the scenic town of Kinsale with a trip to Old Head peninsula. We saw so many old castle ruins that were so very old. Made us realize how young the USA is.

Oh, BYW, if you go to the Ring of Kerry, be sure to see the sheep dog demonstration. We took a motorized tour of the ring of Kerry because DH wanted to see the sights without driving.

Speaking of driving, if you drive, expect to go slow. Roads are very narrow and curvy. Not to mention having to follow dairy cows on their way to be milked.

Thanks for the responses we have actually been to Ireland six times and we love it over there. I do not mind the driving at all. My best friend lives in Dublin so we have spent a lot of time there and in the Wicklow mountains and surrounding areas. We have made the drive over to Dingle one time and it is well worth the visit. I thought the pub Dick Mac's was incredible of course I think all of their Pub's incredible. If you thought the roads were bad in Kerry wait till you drive through Connamara north of Galway. My wife just takes zanax and closes her eyes. You are right the B&B's are a good way to go. I was just hoping there would be some way to use our points there. By the way if you ever go back go up to Connamara and stay a night or two at Ashford Castle you will be spoiled.

Thanks
Sam
