iPod touch

OK, so I really want an iPhone, but my contract doesn't end for nouth year and a half....

Does and iPod touch do everything the phone does except for make calls and have mobile internet?

Can they have most of the same applications?

I have both an Iphone and Touch.

I can use the Touch to surf the net. All the apps that I have on my phone are also on the Touch.

I would if I was you. I had the touch for over a year before I had the phone. It does everything the phone does except make calls.

Gems - it automatically searches. I'm using mine just now from the car park of McDonalds

Thanks for that - sounds great, the only thing that puts me off the iphone is the quality of the camera, maybe the Touch is a better option then.

Unfortunately nothing from McDs

We were going to the cinema and the only space available was in their car park.

I've only used the camera on my iphone a couple of times. The picture quality isn't brillant but I can overlook that because of everything else it does.

Me & my dh have both had itouch's for a couple of years, they are fab!

I won't get an iphone as I hardly ever use my mobile other than texts which I get free when I top up every few months.

I definately recommend the itouch.

I have the i touch also and there is a free app that searches for the nearest FREE wifi connection so you can check emails thru the internet or whatever you want where ever you can get the wifi free, most book shop, libraries and many places have it now for free.... it does EVERYTHING except make calls.
