Yea! I finally got my refund from taxes this year. So I am going to purchace a Touch. It will be primarly in my car and used by me, but my 8 year old will have a couple of mixes on it for car rides. So I am thinking a 32 gig.

Where is the best place to purchace? I know the prices r about the same anywhere but where is the best warranty?

Also what accessories r the ones I need to buy when I buy my touch? I remember (back in the dark ages lol) with my first ipod i had a radio thing that allowed me to play it in my car... which brand of those is best?

help lol I feel so lost! :confused3:rotfl2:

I believe that the warranty is the same as it is warranted by Apple. I have and wall charger so I don't have to use my computer to charge it, and I have an adapter so I can use listen to it on the car stereo. I think it's a Belkin.
Oh, I also have a silicone cover to it.

anyone else have any opinions on my questions?

Thank you freddog for the response:cool2:

I think your best bet on price will be a refurbished one from apple. My son got his from there and it was packaged just like a new one with earbuds and a warranty. Just go to the website and put refurbished i-pods in the search. I tried to give you a link but my computer is freezing up on just about every site I go to tonight.

We just bought DS a touch for his birthday and replaced DD's old one since it was having issues. We bought refurbished ones off of the Apple website for $159 each for 8gb 2nd generation. They arrived via FedEx 2 days later (free shipping). Both looked brand new and were packaged in new boxes. We were told by Apple that anytime an iPod gets returned, it gets sold as refurbished, even if there were no issues and even if it was never used.

They are covered for one year under Apple. The extended warranty for one more year was also available to purchase for around $60, but we passed on that.

You should also buy a screen protector.

A stereo docking station would also be a good idea (which also acts as a charger), as well as a silicone case. You'll find better deals on cases online like at Amazon vs buying a case from Apple or from places like Best Buy. Our car has a Aux outlet to plug the iPod in. If you don't have that in your car, take a look at the itrip which will allow you to do the same thing.
