iPod Touch owners, question about calendar

I have the 1st generation iPod touch and am giving it to my DD. I'm taking things off (movies/songs) and also adding things, but I need to erase the calendar of all past information. Is there anyway to do this? Also this goes for contacts as well. Thanks!

why don't you just restore it to the original settings... plug it in and select system restore to factory settings.. u can also rename it to her in the process... and add whatever you want onto it..
