iPod shuffle

DD 10 wants an iPod for christmas. Considering iPod prices here in Iceland there is no way I wil get her anything else than possibly the shuffle. Do your kids have the shuffle? Do they like it? Do they get irritated that they don´t have a screen to scroll up and down? She says she won´t mind but I´d like to hear what others say.

I have a new shuffle and was an owner of the old (looked like a stick of gum). I'm older and never "missed" the screen. It is a great product that plays music well. That was all I needed.

I have both the shuffle (got it refurbished off the apple site for $29) and a 30 GB video. I have to admit that it is kind of annoying not to be able to skip to a particular song, but that is part of the whole shuffle's dynamic. I would also say that if you never had the screen, you would not miss it. For a 10 year old, a shuffle should suffice just fine

I love my IPOD and would hate a shuffle. I like to be able to control what I listen to more. Plus having more songs stored it a plus too.

I have both a Shuffle and a 30GB ipod. They both do their job quite well. The funny thing though is when I use my ipod, 95% of the time I have it on shuffle anyway.
