In my experience, your success with these is related to where you live and how many radio stations they have. I used to use one and it was great until a few more stations came on line and now I cannot find a clear station.
Does she have a cassette player in her car? To be honest, ugly as it is, my best sound (pre AUX jack) was through a cassette adapter.
Good luck!
I agree....our van is an older model and still has a cassette player. I've had much better luck using the cassette adapter than I ever did with the radio frequency unit. I live in Northeast Wisconsin, so you'd think there wouldn't be a lot of problems finding a radio frequency to use, but I've never had good luck with it.
I tend to use the radio frequency unit to power the iPod on long trips, while still playing it through the cassette adapter. At least I can keep my iPod charged on those long trips!
