Hi there... Okay.. I figured the all knowing all powerful DISBoards would be able to help me out! :thumbsup2 My Ipod Nano is acting VERY strange.. first when I plugged it in to charge it, nothing happened.. No lightning bolt.. NADA.. so, I looked at the book and it said to reset it.. okay.. so I did.. toggled the hold switch on and off.. then held the Menu and center button down for 10 seconds and the apple logo came up.. YAY!! So I thought.. then the apple logo just started blinking on and off... on and off.. on and off.. on and off.. YOu get the idea.. and it is still doing that. I tried resetting it again.. i tried charging it on computer and wall outlet.. Nothing.. just a blinking Apple! Any ideas??? Thanks everyone!!

Wow.. 45 whole minutes and no answer from the DIS? This has got to be some kind of record!! :crazy2:

Hmmm. My lil Nano has done some odd things, but never that. Did you look at the Apple troubleshooting on their website (not that it's ever helped me really..)? :scratchin

we've got 2 nanos that are OK, but one of our friend's families has 2 that turn themselves on or off every 2 minutes or so. I've wiped them and restored them, no luck. I've tried restoring them on my computer as well. I made them an appointment at our apple store for monday. my 20gig Ipod had a hard drive failure a week after the warranty was over, and apple replaced it no problem.

Can I just go to an Apple Store with it? One just opened up not too far from me.. That would be fine.. I just really don't want to have to mail it away.

Thanks for the replys!

go to the apple website and set up an appointment at the genius bar at your local apple store. they tend to fill up and that's how you get real tech support.

I was at the Apple store in Austin, TX yesterday and basically if your iPod wasn't working they replaced it right then and there with a refurbished one that doesn't have all those scratches and looks brand new. So, if I were you I'd go to the Apple site, click, where to buy, select your store and make a Genius appointment. All those people walking out with new iPods were very very happy.

Wow! Thank you for the advice. I will do just that!

My sons Nano stopped holding its charge. He went onto Apple's site and they sent him a box and all the paper work to send it back to them.It went by courier at 5:00pm on a Monday afternoon and he had a new one back in his hands Thursday at 6Pm.72 hour turn around sure is great.I love Apple's customers service. So if you dont have a store near you and you have to send your IPOD out it wont take very long.
