IPod Help, please

All my original songs are on the IPOD, which is great. However, I've got new songs but can't seem to put those into the IPod. ITunes pops up, it says the IPod is updated, but the new songs aren't on there. I've fiddled with ITunes but still can't seem to add them. I've also tried google but couldn't find the answer.

Any ideas?

When you open your library on iTunes, are all of the songs there? If they are not, you have to import them to iTunes. If they are in the library, make sure they have a check mark next to them, because if they don't, they won't get transferred.

Try the ipod message boards at ipod.com...I use those boards all the time.

Have you tried to unplug and then replug your ipod back to the transmitter cord. Did you purchase the music from the itunes store or did you get your new music from your CD's? If you got them from the Itunes store check your purchased music file on your ipod device.
