Hi!

So I'm on my way to work this morning, and I hear the strangest high-pitched clicking sounds coming from... my purse! Couldn't imagine what it was; when I parked I rooted through and found my iPod going crazy! It was almost like I was running my finger around and around the white circle in the really fast, though I wasn't touching it. Now, I'm unable to change anything on it, or turn it off!

I've had this one (iPod nano) since Valentine's Day 2009; during the summer I had dropped it on the driveway and shattered the protective plastic cover over the screen though it seemed to work fine still. This is the first time I've actually had a problem with it, other than the time I had to "reboot" it by turning hold on/off then pressing the center and "menu" at the same time, which was a few months ago.

Anyone ever have a problem like this before? Any ideas as to what might fix it? Oh, and it was a gift from someone who doesn't believe in keeping receipts, so I have no proof of purchase. I'm hoping it's an easy fix, cuz I need it for the gym! :sad1:

Thanks in advance for any and all help! And yeah, I tried google but apparently my wording skills are lacking...

I would contact Apple and see if they can help you. Your Ipod will have a serial number which will help them determine it's age. :)
