Ok....here is where we tell what magic our iPod has for our trip.

Me?

I have the "Elecric parade" theme on my iPod, along with Neil Diamond's "Coming to America" which is the first song I heard as we pulled up to Epcot back in 1983!

I want more!! I want so much more. I remember hearing the Pirate's theme, Small world and more.....I would love to hear music from things that are no longer there....like Kodak's Imagination stuff, the original Figment, or other things like that.

Where can I find the original EPCOT and other stuff that my friend had in 1983?

What do YOU have on your iPOD or want on your iPod for your Disney trip?

I LOVE Disney music, and have over 200 Disney-related songs (soundtracks, park attractions, parade and fireworks themes, etc.) on my iPod. I think my favorites are the current and old themes for the fireworks and parades. I absolutely love Illuminations: Reflections of Earth!

If you love old Epcot music, you should look into getting the WDW Happiest Celebration on Earth album. (There is one for Disneyland, and one for WDW.) The one for WDW has a lot of old Epcot attraction music on it (themes from World of Motion, Horizons, the old theme to Journey into Your Imagination, etc., etc.). Have these on my iPod, too. :goodvibes

One thing I wish I could find - some of the music that I used to have as a kid! Specifically, there were albums called "Splashdance", "Disco Duck", and "Totally Minnie" that I would give my eye teeth to get a hold of again!

Any ideas out there?

Keep your eyes open on ebay as well. For $30, I purchased a CD audio file that has all the old Epcot music: old front gate area music, journey into imagination w/ preshow "Makin' Memories" and "True Colors", World of Motion, Horizons, all the old Epcot parades and Illumination music, as well as some audio files that have the spoken animatronic character scripts (have no idea how they got it?!?) and direct audiofile playlists from the production booth at Disney Studios. Same goes for Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and MGM. All audio files old and new and really, I can't remember anything that isn't on these CDs.
The 2 CD Walt Disney World Official Album "The Happiest Celebration on Earth" has 40 songs on it. This one has just under 200 songs and spoken scripts on it!
The seller auctions about 20 of them a couple times a year and they are just incredible.

How do I find Disney music for my ipod and get it on there? I did not see much of anything on itunes.

I have WDW Happiest Celebration on Earth album, the Illuminations CD, Tarzan, one of the Off Kilter CDs and then favorite songs off other Disney CDs. Mine is relatively new and I spent one night quickly loading what probably amounts to 3 or 4 CDs. Gawsh, I think I just found something else I could od this afternoon ;)

I found the Disney Insider PodCasts on iTunes and subscribed to it so far I've had 3 download and listened to the one dealing with Epcot's Garden Festival (all that is popping in my head at the moment is Food & Wine, I'm abit obsessed with my coming trip *g*). It was interesting and nice background noise that I think I will appreciate listening to on my flights.

Thanks to the persons suggestion to watch eBay. I know my friend picked up our WDW Happiest Celebration on Earth albums from there when they 1st came out. 1st things 1st.... get what I have onto it starting with the Fantasmic! CD.

I'm loving my iPOD. Which reminds me I have to also add another item to the disney shopping list i have saved on it.

Nothing that I know of on iTunes. I got the few real Disney things from downloads many years ago. I have to search my old cassettes....I think I have an old Disney music tape somewhere.

I wish Disney would just make all music available for download. I would have no problem paying $.99 per song for some of the theme music!

 I have 76 disney tune downloaded on my IPOD, most of them are from various Soundtracks and CDs purchased from previous disney trips and from the disney store. These songs have their own playlist with all of them marked as my favorites-- to keep them in the shuffle!!!!-- Well if I get off the DIS anytime soon, I am going to download another CD into my IPOD for my upcoming trip!!!

Just wondering how you were able to subscribe to this, It said it was not available when I tried. Just wondering.

Virgin had a sale of Classic Disney CD's (5) in a box set on sale. It was on sale for $32, but rang up at $27! It has lots of great oldies, including the old Tiki room from 1963. I put that on my Ipod right away!

I haven't looked in awhile, but I didn't see much for Disney when I last looked in Itunes. So I load in my own collection.

I forget about Ebay. Thanks for that tip! :flower:

WOW....After posting this, I decided to go in the basement and look through my old cassettes (do you remember what they are???) ;)

Well, low and behold, I find a cassette from 1983 - "The Official Album of Walt Disney World - Epcot Center"

Side 1:
Main Entrance Medley
Golden Dream
Energy (You Make the World Go Round)
The Computer Song
Magic Journeys
Canada (You're a Lifetime Journey)

Side 2:
Universe of Energy
Listen To The Land
One Little Spark
It's Fun to Be Free
Makin' Memories
Kitchen Kaberet Medley

Now I will have to hook up my cassette deck to my PC and rip these down to MP3's. I am so excited to have found this!

Out of curiousity how many of these are instrumental & what are the track lengths? Maybe we could work out some trades :)

The UK iTunes site has a Disney album you can download (or just individual songs). They are songs from movies though and not the parks. I really want to find Illuminations music or some firework music to download before my trip. I think I might go and download some of the Disney show songs though to listen to on my journey (I need a lot to occupy me on my 9 hour flight!!) I will check out ebay and see if I have any luck.

The cassette does not have the lengths on it. I haven't had a chance to hook my cassette deck up to my computer to rip the music. Once I do, I will let you know the lengths and which ones are instrumental.

My favorite thing on my iPod is The Tapestry of Nations theme music from my Millennium Celebration CD. We received this CD free when we went in 2000 as our free choice being on the dream makers package.

I have the tape ripped to MP3's.

Main Entrance Medley is Instrumental and is 3 Minutes 20 seconds

The rest aren't total instramental. Magic Journeys is "easy listening", the rest are from the rides.

The cool one is "One Little Spark"....it is the entire music and audio that went along with the original "Journey into your Imagination" ride with Figment and DreamFinder.

For those have ITUNES, I just discovered this about a month ago.

There are many Disney related podcast. While they are not specifically music, Most Disney podcasts are info related, they are very fun and informative.

under ITUNES go to podcast and type Disney under your search.

there are several really good ones.

You really don't have to have an actual IPod, you can download ITUNES on your computer and listen on your home computer.

My daughter has about a GB of disney music on her ipod. I've just ripped all the cd's we've ever bought and put them on her ipod.

My bf and I spent the whole weekend getting Disney music onto the iPod. The sites everyone has listed here are great! I discovered another site while doing a Google search - http://www.kurtmiller.net/Disney/mainHome.htm
This site has quite a few mp3s from all the parks. Most of them are live recordings and are therefore of varying quality. But I was able to get a live Winnie the Pooh ride through as well as Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. It is definitely worth checking out.

BTW, doing a Google search for 'disney mp3' yielded some interesting results. Most were old links that no longer worked, but some were foreign sites or smaller sites with some great live links.
