Just a couple of questions for anyone who had one!

Thinking about getting one on PAYG, only reason being as the contract deals are aimed towards minutes, however i am a textaholic

could anyone who has one answer these and maybe give further info to aide me.

1. Can you use the tunes you download as ringtones/message tones

2. what do you get in the box when you purchase.

3. how long does the battery last

yes and you can download straight to the phone
sorry just checked its only the ringtones that you can add your own tones too text message it just the ones that come with the phone


2. what do you get in the box when you purchase.
Phone , plug cables and earphones and a cleaning cloth

3. how long does the battery last
Battery life is very short if using all the extras that come with it
I love my Iphone , only thing no video and camera is only 2 M , not great at in side but very good for out side photos
but then I have a DLSP carema so no photos on a phone are going to be up to them

As much as I love the Iphone there are somethings which could be improved on.

- The ringtones only last for 30 seconds, so no full song on them. I have also had to use another programme to convert the ringtones I have on the phone. Which means that you could have quite an extensive music library on your phone but are unable to use them directly as ringtones.

- As jackie points out the battery life depends very much on what you are doing with the phone and what applications you are using. On average I need to charge my iphone everyday.

- The text facility shows full conversations that you have, which is brillant if like me you forget what you have said in a previous text to a person. The text facility does not allow you to forward on messages. Therefore if you want to forward a message you have already received you need to re-type it.

- It comes with bluetooth and you can buy a bluetooth headset for it. You cannot however bluetooth music or photos to another person. Apple works on the prinicple that with a contract phone and the fact that they give you free internet acces, that you will simply email. Therefore the lack of bluetooth facility won't be an issue.

- I also find that sometimes the keyboard is slightly slow when you are using it to text or email.
