iPhone tips & tricks

I love that screen shot trick. It is very useful to me because I have an iTouch and I will use it to save info I found on the internet for later when I might not have a connection.

Thanks some tips in there that I did not know about.
Definitely enjoying my iPhone :)

My tip: don't put it in your back pocket if you're planning on having a few too many and then need to go to the bathroom when you're motor skills/cognitive funtioning might be *slightly* diminished (I guess this applies more for girls).

But if your iphone does happen to take a little swim before it's 90 days old AND you've used your AMEX to pay for it, AMEX will refund your purchase price.

At least that's what I hear...:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Oh my! I did want to ask what happened next, but you were covered! Lucky! I head if your phone takes a swim you have to pay the full unsubsidized price for a replacement (if you aren't in upgrade status). The full price is $600! Treat your iPhone like a mogwai!

My 4 yearold has figured out how to pull up a screen capture and had me back the phone or the DW touch. It's a good prank watching us scratch our heads. She's pretty savvy that one. Right now she's an animal crossing addict.

"Scroll to top" works great for the disboards!

Finally started "making the most of" my iPhone this week - loving Wunder radio, was listening to some Orlando radio stations this week :)

Good to hear you have and are enjoying your iPhone Annette_VA. Its really fun to use in the Disney parks. So much info at your fingertips.:lmao:

Are the Disney park apps really worth it? They get good reviews on iTunes but w/o GPS, I'm just not sure. Coming here for the expert opinions :goodvibes

Pretty sure the maps are available as a "web-app" too, meaning you stream it through your network rather than purchase it, making it free with unlimited data plan (do you get those with an AT&T contract? They're standard on UK iPhone tariffs).

Orlando Mix 105.1 streaming through my iPhone is great, reminds me of cruising up and down the 535 in October :)

Hey, Matt!

Yeah, I had it for my MouseFest trip and constantly had it out, either checking the DIS, Steve Soares's site, updating my status & uploading pics to Facebook, etc. I put that thing to the test my first weekend of owning it! :rotfl:

In a related note - are you able to get a signal when you're in Edenton? I went to my parents' for Christmas and from the time I crossed the VA/NC border until I pulled into their driveway, I had no service  Guess I should've researched AT&T's coverage area a little better! Oops!

Those links have some great tips I didn't know about! Thanks for letting us know.

I found most of those out by accident, including the screenshot one which had me stumped for ages as to why i had a picture of my springboard in my photo section :lmao:

another good site is go to http://www.seeqpod.com from your iPhone's Safari, and you can stream mp3's direct, pretty much every song you could ever want at your finger tips! I've even got an app that lets me download those mp3's from the straight to my iPhone for free, but shhhhh on that one ;)

While I was there for the Candlelight Tour last month, I had the same reception issues as you, no signal from the VA/NC border and on into Edenton. I did find out that if I went down to the waterfront (by the Barker House) I did get a weak signal, but am able to make calls and send/receive E-mail.

Hopefully this will improve year to year.

Some iPhone photo's from my December trip to Edenton, NC
