iPhone se deals

If you have Costco check out the cell phone kiosk. I bought one on AT&T and got back a $200 Costco card (phone payment is $25 per month plus service, can be paid out anytime no contract). They always seem to run deals, ar the time Verizon's deal wasn't as good... Maybe a $50 GC max.

Actually an SE A LOT cheaper than a 6 S!! (but it's smaller-looks just like the 5C actually). There are a lot of promotions going on right now however the phone is still in the $400 range so you can either do a payment plan or pay for it up front. I had looked into switching to Verizon from ATT at BJs Wholesale and the plan was a little cheaper than ATT but seems that Verizon works with 3rd party outfits to do all of their initial sales which I've had issues with in the past going that route with ATT. Our current phones are paid off this month with ATT so we are looking to upgrade as well and wanted to switch to Verizon but now not sure.

It actually looks like a 5 or 5s and those cases fit it.

Walmart has a promotion for $100 off any iPhone model in stock. The deal is broken down into $50 off the price up front, and $50 off the bill over the next 3 months. Give a call before heading over to find out what they have in their inventory. Be sure to pack your patience too as not all Walmart employees at the phone center are familiar with the deals and how to sell/upgrade phones and will need to pull in help from others. (Took us over an hour to upgrade my daughter's phone.) Back up everything to either the cloud or iTunes before heading in, as they will not offer to move any data, contacts, messages ... etc. over for you.

Best Buy has them for $1- 16gb or $50 -64gb if you are looking for a contract.

If you want to buy it outright.......If you have a previous model iphone, apple has a decent trade in program. They gave us $111 dollars for my son's old 5C which is higher than anyone else I checked. I then used that as a deposit on the SE which I purchased with apple credit. The payment for the 64gb model is $16 for 24 months. When you purchase from apple directly the phone is unlocked and can be used on any carrier.....as opposed to purchasing through the carrier which locks you to that network. We use ATT which has done away with 2 year contracts so this was our cheapest option.

regards

I'm told it's essentially equal to a 6 in terms of technology, but has 5/5S dimensions. If they'd have packaged it like a 4/4S (including charging port), I'd have one right now!

It depends. The camera is on par with the 6s. But I don't think the screen resolution is that good. My coworker got one as a birthday present to replace his 5 (or 5s?). Anyway he doesn't seem to think it's much of an upgrade but he probably hasn't used the camera much.

I replaced my 4 with a used 6 last Fall. So pleased with the 6 and I like the bigger size.

Salesman claimed it was comparable to a 6, but NOT a 6S.

The SE and 6S have the same camera (12 megapixel rear camera vs. 8 for the 6). The screen resolution is lower for the SE than for the 6 or the 6S. The touch technology is the same as the 6, not the 6S. The SE has the same A9 chip and M9 co-processor as the 6S. All in all, it's more similar to a 6S than a 6 IMO.

I would say this is true, Apple has laid the differences out nicely for us: http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/

Keep in mind, what Apple has not told us yet, but folk have noticed in their YouTube (the MeFirst) testing is that they applied several mechanisms to make the 6s water resistant. Obviously they're not ready to have anyone hold it up to the light and analyze, but there is a new rubber gasket around the edge of the phone and every cable connector on the board has a new (apple patented in March of '15) water resistant protective seal installed around it. The SE does not have this.

Except for it having an upgraded camera and chip. It's a bit of a hybrid but really the important stuff is the same as the 6S.

thanks was hoping to find it cheap. maybe I'll keep waiting would like to get it for at least half off or close to it. Have had my phone for 4 years now.

Plus the kicker is the 2gb or ram like the 6s. The 6 is limited to 1gb
