What do I need in order to use the Ipod function of my Iphone on my radio while I am driving? I know I had something called an Itrip when I had a regular Ipod - is it the same for an Iphone? Where do I get it and how much does it cost?

Also, if I upgraded to the new 3G would the same thing work or is there a new version for the 3G?

Thanks.

It's going to depend on how your car is made. I mean, the Itrip would probably work, but there may be better sound quality options for you.

I drive a 6 year old Chrysler T&C minivan - not exactly the most sophisticated sound machine on the road!!!

Have you purchased the Apple sticker to ensure people know you're an iPhone owner? If you drive a hybrid you'll need to purchase the large sticker.

In all seriousness any car with blue tooth will work with the iPhone. If your car doesn't have it there are a million aftermarket stereos that will do have it.

For music just see what they have as far as a stereo input add-on for your stock stereo. They run about $150 tops and work much better than an FM modulator.

If you already have an aftermarket stereo you should pop it out and see if there are RCA (red and white) inputs on the back. You can purchase the required cable at RadioShack for about $7 then just hit input on your stereo until you get AUX. This will not give you the telephone features.

You can PM me or just ask here exactly what you need it to do and I'd be more than happy to help you.

Listen to this person. I just know that for a while, we had 3 cars, 3 methods. We added something to one and got a new method, then we replaced the stereo in another and got a new method (which connects the same way as the unchanged car). I know that the method 2 of our cars have is through an aux cord. Other than that...Listen to that other poster. I'm useless. I just know sound quality stinks from the fm modulator.

Thanks to both of you - I'll have to see what I have and then I'm sure I'll have questions!
