iPhone question (Ipod related)

So DH put a bunch of songs on my iPhone and I want them to shuffle but they won't, when they have before.....has anyone else had this happen and f so how do I fix it.... I shut my phone off and back on 2 times and it still didn't help.....

What does it do? Play them in alphabetical order? When a song is playing, look at the little icon just below the song time that is two arrows crossing each other. It should be in blue, not white, when you are on shuffle.
