Iphone help

So DS has an Iphone 5C and shattered the screen today at school. We have a couple Iphone 5Cs that are not being used at home anyways. Is it really just as simple as popping the SIM card out of the side of his and into a new one to switch over or is there something else we would need to do? Trying to avoid a visit to the ATT store tonight.

That should work as long as the phone is unlocked and/or was previously an AT&T phone.
