Iphone apps for the parks

I've been wondering if it's possible to use the apps everyone talks about on an iTouch instead of iPhone. I may get DH an iTouch for Christmas. We use Verizon (and don't want to switch) so an iPhone isn't an option.

From posts on this thread, it seems as though you can use the same apps, excpet any that would need constant updating. Or does the iTouch have the ability to connect somehow with out being a phone? I'm clueless!!!

if the App requires a connection to a server than you can only use it on the itouch when you have a wi-fi connection. The Wait-Times app you could not use unless you have wi-fi
