iPhone 4

Did any of you order the Apple Bumper case? I did not like most of the colors offered and Apple only showed them on the white phone. I ended up picking the green one as I wanted something to protect it from day 1 (well my ship/deliver date for the case is July 2). The total cost was a bit high, but i had an apple gift card so it made the decision a bit easier.

I thought about getting one, but I am doing in-store pick-up for my phone. Do you think there is any chance they will have them in the store that morning?

I would assume they should have the Bumpers in stock on launch day at the Apple stores, but you know what happens when you assume.

Am I understanding correctly that there is no way to get one until July now? I didn't preorder - I was thinking I'd just go to the store this weekend and preorder there, I'm not sure why it didn't dawn on me they might all be gone the first day!!

Last I checked AT&T site shows that there are no preorder devices left and the Apple site showed preorders shipping July 2nd.

I was on the road all day yesterday, tried to order last night.....got frustrated, gave up. Went to the AT&T store a lunch to find they stopped taking pre-oreders (should have read the paper this am), just got my pre-order done and it is supposed to ship 7/12. I can't believe I actually thought they would not have a supply issue. Have they learned nothing from their history?? Sure, they did not have an issue with the 3GS because it was not a major upgrade. Maybe they can ramp up production in the next few weeks!

Instead of a bumper case, I went with an Invisible Shield.

On zagg.com, DH went to the lower right and registered for the IPad giveaway. They emailed him a 50% off coupon. I ordered the Invisible Shield that protects the whole phone. That should keep it unblemished until I can find a case that I love. I have a drawer with 4 different cases that I tried for my 3GS, and I don't want to repeat that again.

Well, I was confused by the AT&T site, and finally noticed I couldn't order the phone there at all. My friend Laura told me to download the Apple Store app on my phone, and I was able to order mine today, finally.

Ship date? 7/14. Bleh. I'll be at WDW when it arrives. I've asked my mom to make sure the delivery gets to me.

And when I bought my 3G phone (2nd gen) a couple years ago, the black phones were the hot sellers. They only had a white phone available, so that's the one I have. Who knows why one color sells out faster than the other?

I'm fine with having a black phone this time. I have a pink case on mine that hides the white phone anyway, so it's no big deal to me.

I have convinced myself white is what I want and since I need to spend 200 $, I'm going to wait it out! Hopefully they will have an otter-box by then!

A signature is required for delivery. I've read on a few sites that they will not be offering the signature waiver form for the iPhone.

I have the invisible shield (full coverage) for iPhone 3G since July 2008.
I ordered the invisible shield again for iPhone 4.

My suggestion is use one of your four different cases to house your invisible shielded iPhone 4 because overtime lint will get to the corners/edges of the phone. Lint from jeans/pants' pockets and purses/bags, etc.

I have a leather case/magnetic closure with invisible shielded iPhone 3G for almost 2 years with no lint problems whereas my friends complained the lint problems.

Thanks for the info. My shield has shipped so it should be here before I get my phone on Thursday. I just hate to cover up the phone. I really like the look of the new version.

Not here , everything is still looking good with my order. I got mine in at 6:15 in the morning. I soon will have 2 nice new phone at my door.
