IPAD with 16GB ?'s please advise

We decided to return the IPAD and go with a Kindle Fire HD. We realize it isn't an IPAD but I could not justify (my budget) giving a 10 year old their own IPAD. The fire will be my daughters individual gift and she won't be expected to share. I really appreciate all the advice.

I've got the 16gb, and it is just fine for our use. We keep a decent supply of music on it, and a movie or two, and tons of apps. You can very easily swap movies through iTunes as needed. You can also do home sharing, which means you can watch any movie that is on iTunes on your computer...without having to actually store it on the iPad.

I've had a 16g iPad for about a year now and have no storage problems. I use it mostly for internet, email and renting movies that I watch on flights. I did get the 3g too as it is easier to get online while on the road than rely on free slow wifi.

My wife and daughter have the Kindle Fire and like theirs.

That is a good choice. Got my daughter a 32GB iPad mini so she could stop using my 64 iPad 4th gen.
