I have a full size IPAD that I love. But, I'm considering getting an IPad mini and giving it to my DD 8. I would like to have a lighter one that is easier to fit in my purse.

Has anyone moved from full size to mini and regretted it? Any advice?

Thanks!

I love my mini. I still use both, but for travelling? And the way it fits in my purse? The mini is perfect! :thumbsup2

I have the full size and love it. My daughter has the mini and takes it everywhere for the grandson. I think it depends on how you are going to use it.

I gave up a full size iPad and moved to the mini when it first came out. I absolutely love it and don't regret it a bit. It goes everywhere with me. It fits in my purse so much better than the full sized iPad.

I like my full size. I'm older and I have to say the larger screen really helps.

Get a bigger purse if that's an issue.

I love my mini! I had a full size, then gave that one to my DD and got a mini for my birthday. I've had it almost two years now, and it's still awesome. I love the weight and the size. It's an easy "go everywhere" tablet.

My hubby has the iPad 4, DD the iPad Air and I have the iPad rMini 2. Compared to ours my husband's seems like a brick, lol. My DD regularly takes her Air in her purse and doesn't seem to mind. I love my Mini and love the fact that when its in my purse I almost forgets it's there. I suppose that's not a lot of help but I've never wished I had a bigger one.

I love the mini! It's the perfect size to fit in your hands.

I test phones and tablets as part of my job and when the mini first came out I instantly fell in love!

I traded in my full size (original) for an iPad mini last year. I love it. It is very easy to carry around in my bag and I use it for taking photos quite often with it because it's usually at hand.

the eternal question....:rotfl2: I got the Mini, my DH has an older fullsize. I love them both for different reasons....at home, or just sitting at a desk, I prefer the larger,it's just easier for me to see,and navigate thru. But the mini, oh,the beautiful, tiny, perfect mini?:thumbsup2 It fits in my purse, so when I go out,and need one, that's my baby. It's light, beautiful, and takes the place of a regular computer for traveling, etc. SO I still use Dh's just sitting around the house..... but the mini gets more use overall. It's nice to have one of each! (My DH loves the big one) I have this sweet little skinny case for it, it's amazingly slim....

I have an Ipad Air and it fits perfectly in my purse. My DD has a mini and it is too small for me. I prefer the size of the Air.

I bought 2 iPad Airs last Christmas. My girls love them. I do not. I discovered I just don't have a need for a small tablet and I already have a large phone (Note II). I really thought I'd be the one to use the iPad but for some reason I don't like it. I have a keyboard for it, which helps when I'm away but is kind of a pain. At home, I like my big PC and when I travel, I prefer not to spend much time on any device. When I need to do that, I use my phone. I think for me, the mini would be preferable but I don't want to pay for another data plan and I need the navigation feature so I'll probably just stick with a larger phone.

I had a full size that I traded in for a mini last year at the target promo. I never used the regular much because it was too big for my small arthritic hands. I use my mini all the time!

We have full size and my 8 year old daughter has a mini and loves it (of course she is not playing on it right now for a few weeks for lying to us). I also like the size and weight and I don't think you will regret the mini at all.

I gave up my full size iPad for a mini only a few months after the original mini came out. I've never regretted it.

How about Ipad air or laptop?? right now we have neither at home and I think we really should have something other then our phone to surf the web.. plus I need a place to keep spreadsheets (bills vacations etc.) thanks for your help. Michelle

I will always have a PC or laptop. My ipad air can't replace a computer.

I went from iPad retina (full size) to iPad Mini and I will NEVER go back. It goes w/ me everywhere and fits perfectly in my VB crossbody; Disnley VB of course!!:cool1:

An iPad really does not replace a computer. If you can only afford one, I'd go for the inexpensive laptop,.
