I just got a new iPad and so far I have disney dining, Disney park hours, line times, park maps and a quiz!

Are they any other cool Disney or universal or even sea world apps? Any to do with a general all round Florida trip!

will you use this in the parks - if so how does that work with data plans and stuff in the US?

No this is just for now lol might use them over there too but looking for stuff I can do now. Any favourite apps?

I found numbers great for planning spreadsheets, but I wasn't cheap. Also TripIt for an itinerary is handy.

One tip I read on the US boards was not to take the iPad into the parks (or more specifically, not to leave it in your bag on rides) because it can screw the gyroscope and stop it from working. Are you staying in a free wifi resort?

How odd that anyone would take one into the parks? :S We're in a villa with wi fi :D

I do see why people would. My life is on my iPad, including ADRs and confirmation numbers, show times, itinerary, and now custom touring plans too. It's like a replacement for the binders with laminated sheets that Disney nuts used to carry around... ;)

That said, I can transfer to my iPhone, so it's no biggie!

I wouldn't feel comfortable taking anything so expensive into the parks, especially on rides you can't take bags on, leaving my ipad in some random locker would give me palpatations! lol

Everything is on my ipad now but I'll still be printing off what I have to take in the parks and keeping the ipad in the safe!

Here is a screenshot of the Disney apps we have on our iPad

For trip planning I love tripcase. It lets me import in email confirmations etc to create a travel plan itinerary. Can also be linked to on-line account.

Undercover Tourist also do apps for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. They have free version for both plus if you want to pay a few dollars a more detailed version of the WDW app ( I think it cost me $4.99).

I also found a Busch Gardens app too.

Would like to know what the ride counter is too though:coffee:

I NEED A IPAD!! maybe thats why im struggling with the planning so much :rotfl2:

Oh yes, you DO need an ipad!!! Just put it down as a holiday budget requirement :rotfl:

I very rarely pay for apps, but I see that there's only a few 'free' disney apps! Have got Lines as part of my touringplans sub, have downloaded the other free apps and think that'll do.

I think someone is a little Disney obsessed.... :rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

:lmao: Not really, I'm just a real hoarder so even though a few of them all do the same thing I just keep them all rather than choosing between them. ;)

Ooooo have downloaded more Disney apps. Any more out there ? :rotfl:

2 fun apps I picked up from recommendations on here.

1) WDW Beer (tells you all the different brands of beer and where you can get them - there are tons!)

2) Where in WDW? - a game, it shows you a partial picture of somewhere in the parks and you have to say where it is. Nice way to get in the mood for a trip :)
