IPad 2

So I thought I could surprise my family with an IPad 2 for our trip next week to WDW. Well I was the one suprised when I could not buy one locally---all sold out---EVERYWHERE. So I went online to Apple thinking I could order one with express shipping. There is no such thing as express shipping of an IPad?????

So off we go in one week with no IPad. Oh well, atleast we are going to Disney!

I've been trying to get one too! I have 5 Apple stores, 3 Targets and 2 Best Buys near by and they are ALL sold out!! It's insane. I'm just to going to keep calling the stores every morning and hoping someone tells me they got them in!!

OP, I had the same problem wanting one for my WDW trip and they were all sold. I went to eBay, found one, ordered it on Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday. It cost the same amount as buying it at the Apple store.

I ordered mine April 23rd and still haven't received it yet....its in transit and scheduled to arrive May 12th. I am so impatient I want it NOW!!!!

Same problem here. I'm starting a business soon and wanted to buy an Asus Transformer (Android Honeycomb Tablet) and an Ipad2.

Transformer was sold out quickly, so I figured I'd just buy the Ipad2 for now.....nope, sold out everywhere

Shopping around for them and trying decide..no problem getting one at our local Future Shop here in Ontario

DH waited about 6 weeks (I think) and he ordered straight from Apple. I've heard the wait is slightly less now, but no one I know has been able to find one in stores.

It's all down to Japan and demand. Thanks to those terrible tragedies over there, components - mainly screens - are in short supply.

I happened to go to Best Buy the day they came in. They got 45 of them and they were gone by the end of the day! And they ONLY got black 32gb wifi models! That is the one I got.

I ordered mine from Apple, got it in 4 weeks. I wanted the 32GB AT&T 3G in white, specifically. For the money, it was worth it to me to order exactly what I wanted and wait for it.
