iPad 2?

I'm debating whether or not to get an iPad now, or wait until the iPad 2 comes out next year. I've read online that it's expected to be released in Spring 2011 but I haven't seen anything official yet. Have you heard anything? Is the new iPad worth waiting another 6 months or should I just go with the one that is available now?

I just returned one I bought on Black Friday and will wait for next gen. I just hope it comes out before our Feb Dream cruise so I don't have to lug my laptop with me.

Its so funny. I was just having this SAME conversation with my sister. I bought the iPad when it came out and I LOVE it. My sister has been debating whether or not to get it now or wait. She's leaning on waiting because there are some areas of tweaking on the original.

I think I'm going to wait as well.. I love the idea of a front facing camera, USB and slimmer/lighter version. I'm also SUPER excited to hear more info about a iPhone for Verizon. The second it comes out I'm switching from AT&T. Their service really stinks around where I live and I'm tired of dropped calls. I had Verizon for years with no problems whatsoever, then DH had to get an iPhone for work and we decided I would switch carriers as well since we didn't want to have two cell phone bills. Although I LOVE the iPhone I wouldn't recommend AT&T to anyone.

The latest ETA is February, pushed back from January. The vendors for the screens have been picked and promise a higher display resolution. Other perks include a front facing camera for Face Time (webcam), a sleeker design, USB connectivity and so on.
