IOA raptor encounter

Looking for info on the raptor encounter at IOA.

Does it happen everyday of the week?

What time does it usually start?

And any other info you would like to share about it.

I loved this. It was tucked to the side in the juassic park area would be easy to walk past. There was a line but they took you in as a group. An actor then comes out and interacts with dinosaur. Then each family go up and have photos. It wasn't just a quick photo, they interacted with each family. We had photoconnect and they took lots of photos, also offered to do with your own camera.

It was fun, our actor was really into it. Told DH to be careful as he was threatening as an alpha male. I was terrified so our photos are hilarious. I knew it wasn't real but it seemed very real

I was at Universal Orlando earlier this week. We saw this from afar and it looked like people were having a great time! We didn't get in line (it was very long), but I kind of wish we had. That raptor is really cool and really scary!

I saw it in October and watched the interactions for a long time

line for us so long in November we walked away and came back late afternoon. Seriously, so much fun and they do keep the line moving fast considering the interactive nature of it imo.

I really enjoyed the Triceratops encounter that they had in the same location a while back. Very realistic and entertaining. I'm hoping to check out the velociraptor in a couple of months.

Th IOA raptor pen is cool. Does the raptor ever leave the pen? In Hollywood, the whole encounter takes place on the street with the raptor walking around. The suit is an engineering and special effects marvel. They do a great job of playing on people's natural fears.

I haven't been to Orlando since they introduced this, but the same raptor was at New York Comic Con last October in a couple of Jurassic World photo op areas. It was SUPER realistic, especially the different
vocalizations matching the movements!

Another one who thinks it's definitely worth doing.......it is a lot of fun........the raptor handlers are very funny!

We thought it was GREAT.....not silly at all. Very well put together, and as realistic as it could be. If you are a fan of the JP movies, you will love this experience.





The Raptor was apparently "challenging my husband for dominance". It was doing its best to nuzzle and knock off his hat.

Big JW fans in my house, very excited for this in March.
Is there a better time of day to avoid a long line? I can't wait to see my Jurassic Park obsessed 4 yr old's reaction.

We just did this.....soooo fun!!
We waited about 10 minutes.....and that was after a break so the line had gotten a bit long. It was fun to watch others ahead of us

Totally worth any amount of wait according to my 10 year old. She loved every second of it and we were really glad we found it and decided to do it. It will be a must on our next trip too.

I've done it twice. Fun both times. I also like watching other folks experience it while we wait.
