Inviting Pastor to reception ???

How many people have invited the pastor that married them to the reception?? If you invited them did they attend? How did you go about finding out if they were attending your reception if you invited them? Should we send an invitation or just ask in e-mail?

If you're using one of Disney's officiants, they never seem to go to the reception. You could ask them to be nice, but they will probably just politely decline.

Yes, we are using one off disney's list, we already kind of invited them but dont know for sure if they are going to attend or not. Do you usually send a wedding invitation to them? I might just have to e-mail and ask if they are going to attend since we are going to need final counts soon.

We have invited Rev Miller and he and his wife are attending both our reception and desert party !!

We initially asked him when we met him in November and he seemed happy although did say that it was not something he had ever been asked before.

Since then we have spoken via email and he has confirmed thay he will be there.

In the UK it world seem strange not to invite the Rev/ Priest/ Pastor ...... and they always sit at the top/head table.

We didnt send and invite though?? Maybe should have???

you are getting married a day before me We are getting married on the 28th at the YCG We will be staying down there for our honeymoon for 2 weeks, cant wait!

I am wondering this too! We sent our official invites out already and haven't even really spoken to Rev. Jack Day yet. He has us "penciled in" but nothing else beyond that. I feel like sending one of our formal invitations is a lot for someone we've never met, yet an email or something seems not "formal" enough... Hm...

My planner told me that most officiants provided on the list do not attend the reception, therefore they are not included in the guest count. She said if you bring your own, then they usually do go to the reception and therefore count in the guest list.

We are bringing our own pastor and he & his wife (whom we are putting up at POP for two nights) are invited to our reception and said they would be there.
