Any cute ideas for how to select someone to "win" the centerpiece?? I was thinking of ordering pressed pennies from around WDW and putting one under one plate at each table. But then my DF reminded me that those plates will be removed right after the champagne toast - so the surpirse would be revealed before the end of the reception. Any other ideas??

What are you doing for place cards? Could you put something alittle fun on the one that wins? Or if their favors are at the tables, one can be slightly different

My favors are potted plants - with the place cards on a stick placed into the plant. I like your idea - I could put a mickey stamp/sticker on one - but then won't it look like I picked someone to take the centerpiece? :confused3

Have someone else put the stickers on them. Not you. Maybe someone helping you set up? Or you could put one different plant randomly per table?

I am having the DJ say that whoever had the next birthday closest to the wedding day at each table gets the centerpiece, did I say that right:laughing:

Are you making your own centerpieces or having Disney floral do them. I'd love to give mine away, but I'm not sure i'll be able to since Disney is going to do the flowers... does anyone know for sure?

We didnt do this because we figured people would take the vases...the Disney flowers are yours to take..but the vases are normally rentals (unless you drop off your own)...So I was to scared I’d be short a vase and then be charged for the replacement

Disney doesn’t do this but if you are having an outside wedding you can donate all your flowers to a local retirement home or hospital....(it’s a deducible donation)....

I'm doing something a little different - we are having a post wedding luncheon celebration and we have 4 tables. I went on eBay and purchased 4 incredibly different vases and I will be putting 7 silk calla lillies in each one. I am presenting the vases to : my mother-in'law, my daughter, my sister and my sister-in-law at the end of the reception. and yes, they are each sitting at different tables!

I actually bought the vases with the people in mind and I do have favors for all our other guests..but I do also really like the birthday idea!

I just had my planning session last thursday and Laura from disney floral is making christmas wreaths for each table as a centerpeice. At the end of the night she said guests could take them home and hang them on their front doors. I went to a wedding where they put orange and blue dots on the inside of the seating cards and whoever had the blue dots won the centerpieces.

You could always affix one of the pressed pennies underneath one chair at the table...I went to a reception once, and won the centerpiece because my chair was marked underneath. :)
