Well we have a thread about everything else and I am going crazy looking through countless invitation sites. I was wondering if anyone wanted to post pics of their invites as inspiration. Thanks!
Well I am still an unofficial bride. I am acually going to make DVD wedding invitations. I got the idea from a invitation my parents got for a New Years Eve party. They have a few web sites online just google it. Or you can buy a program add in some pictures, a song, the wedding info and you have a very custom but acutally enteraining wedding invitation.
I Went To A Party Store Found A Style I Liked Then Went Through Invitation Books And Borrowed Wording And We Made Our Own Also, Found Programs To Match And Saved Money
Oh darn - you're not going to like this... I had them printed for free by a friend who owns a letterpress stationery business, and they're based on a set I liked that costs $1,200 retail...
However, part of them - the folders and the schedule cards - I had printed myself. I designed them on my computer, created a PDF, and had color copies made from the file on cardstock at a print house. Those parts looked just as good as the letterpress ones, and even my friend can hardly tell the difference.
So if you have access to design software - or know someone who does - I suggest designing them and bringing the file on disk to a print shop to make color copies - you could even go to Kinko's.
Alternatively, Paper Source has great invitation supplies and offers online tutorials...
Thank you Caryn!!
I am so in love with them. The pictures are horrible though. There is actually a swarovski crystal on the scroll pattern on the invitation and one crystal each on the ceremony and reception locations on the map on the event card. But you can't see them in any of the pics or scans I took.
