I just received this and thought I'd share...

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS:
You should be alert during the next days:

Do not open any message with an attached filed called "Invitation"

It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which "burns" the whole
hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who
has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should
send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message
25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called "invitation", though sent by a friend, do
not open it and shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by
Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair
yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital
information is kept.
SEND THIS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW, COPY THIS E-MAIL AND SEND IT TO
YOUR FRIENDS AND REMEMBER: IF YOU SEND IT TO THEM, YOU WILL
BENEFIT ALL OF US

According to Snopes this is a hoax. It's an older one actually.

I looked it up because my MIL loves to send these to me and I love to send back the snopes report. I'm hoping one day sh'ell catch on and stop sending these. LOL

No offense ferel....just thought I'd let you know. :sunny:

Highly suspicious of any email that states this:

Just a thought:

Maybe Snopes is a hoax and they are the ones responsible for sending out all of the emails?

No offense taken. I should know better than to accept these things at face value. My sister sent it to me. I won't trust her next time!!! :rotfl:

LOL...that would be a riot! All this time snopes was nothing but a big hoax. Gosh, that could rival the whole TomKat Suri scam!

Almost any eMail that requests it to be forwarded to others is spam and can frequently contain malicious code. Do not be fooled into thinking that the eMails are from Microsoft/Barclays Bank/Sophos - if it tells you to forward it, delete it.
