Ok... So I was told by Disney that they need the final count and payment for our wedding one month in advance. She said we can make changes, etc... afer that but they need that to move along with everything.

How far in advance do you send invitations if you have to tell Disney so early?? I have to give them the payment by Feb 26, our wedding is March 26. What should I do?

I really wanted to have some time put aside to invite some people from our "b" list, that we cant invite right away.

What should I do????

Thanks
Jamie

Here is what we did: Our wedding was June 25, so our payment was due May 25. We sent out our invitations on April 5, with an RSVP date of May 15th. That gave me 10 days to track down anyone who had not RSVP'd and find out what their deal was before I had to pay Disney.

You may want to send out your invites a little earlier to make sure you have enough time for an 'b' list people you decide to invite.

The norm is 2 months before for a non destination wedding... I would say two months prior to their deadline date (Feb 26). I would also make the RSVP date at least two weeks before that deadline. People may forget or just not do it... and sometimes it is really hard to track them down. Plus, with a "b" list, you will want some time!

me & h2b mailed out wedding newsletters & save the dates in advance to all our guests to let them know of the wedding date and time planned in wdw. we also listed our planned wedding events (like our welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, day at the parks) resort information (we're paying for our guest accomodations at allstar movies) so we let them know theme, activities, room stats. we wanted their joining us to be as easy as possible. we are sending these out 6 months ahead of time because people in our families make plans in advance & then this also will give them a heads up on needed vacation time off, booking cost saving airfare, etc. we were also going to include a 2nd newsletter with suggested airlines 800#'s & costs, things to do at each wdw park rides/attractions, dining options & prospective costs. we got the idea from a cousin who planned a international overseas wedding a couple of years ago & her newsletters & save the dates were a blessing & made everyone in my families life easier.

also if you have a wedding website, this can also be an invaluable source to your guests.

i don't know if this would work out for you or not, but best of luck. in most bridal etiquette ?sp books they suggest 2 months in advance mailing of your wedding invitations to guests for a destination wedding. i would go from your 30 day out money must be paid due date. or maybe alittle sooner for your b list to possible attend.
