inventory control tag not removed

I guess I'll try Kohl's.

We also bought it at MouseGear. Looks like they are a little lax in taking off tags there.

Oops double posting. Anyone else notice that when you answer a post the answer is going before the last post? Second time that has happened today.

This happened to me once. I too went all over to try to get it removed. This I looked on my receipts, I usually keep them in case I want to re-order something when I get home. I called 407-363-6200-Disney Mail Order. They had me send the item back to them, they removed the tag, and mailed it back to me. I don't remember who paid for shipping. Mine was a purchase at World of Disney for about $40.00, sweatpants. I was afraid to remove the ink and have it go all over the clothing. Now I watch everything they do to make sure all security tags get removed! Good luck!!

Do you remember how long it took to get it back? We are on the 8/9 Alaska cruise and would need it back in a moth and a half.

I used to work retail and our ink tags never beeped. They explode if you try to take them off, rendering whatever you stole unusable. Therefore, hopefully people would think twice about stealing it.

you're kidding! at least in a regular store, when they forget to take it off, you set off the alarm as you leave, letting you know to take it back to get the tag off...

Mission accomplished. Kohl's did the trick. I went to customer service and the person there kept telling me their system wouldn't work. There was a manager standing there and she looked at it and said it would work and popped it right off. Thanks for all the suggestions.

woo hoo!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yay! Glad it all worked out!

I had this happen to me once when I was in Southern California. I'd gone out for an event that it turned out was going to be dressier than I thought it was. I hadn't brought an appropriate outfit with me. So I spent ages at Nordstrom's and finally found a great outfit. The next day, I went to put the outfit on, and there was the Security tag on the pants! I knew it wasn't coming off, but I was desperate! I tried, but only succeeded in tearing the pants.

I went to the first part of the event (not so dressy) and then RAN back to Nordstrom's. They took the tag off (and in one of the things that I *LOVE* about Nordstrom's, sent the pants to their alterations department who fixed the tear so well you couldn't even tell it had ever happened.) THEN they told me, if I'd called them, they would have SENT SOMEONE TO WHERE I WAS STAYING with a mobile removal unit!!!! I must say, that option had never occurred to me! That's customer service for you!

Sayhello

Let's see - I went to Macy's, aerostople, guess, american eagle (disney store said their system used to take those off). I also looked at the tags myself in Neiman Marcus and a few other stores to see if they looked the same and no luck at all. I can't believe the Disney Store has a different system than Disney World.

This same thing happened to me way back in 2001, the security tags were left on some water bottle holders I bought in WDW. I went to my local mall with them and the receipt to show I had paid for them and asked at the counter of every store until I found one who had the same system and they removed them for me. Good luck!

ETA: Oops! Just read further and saw that you resolved it, Good to hear!
