Hi all!

We've booked tables at Walts, Inventions and Blue Lagoon. Does anyone know how much roughly dinner willl cost? The dinner guide (which is mentioned on this site) said above 15 Euros, but I was wondering how much above, so I have a rough guide as to how much money we need to bring.

Also, will the restaurants cook food 'off menu'. I'll need to order some steamed/ boiled veg as finger food for my 1 year old.

Hope some one can help,

All the best,

Sally

I think we were €45 per adult for dinner at Innventions. The kids were probably slightly higher than 1/2 price :)

As for Walts -Reid estimate is pretty accurate. Also the food we adults ate came with fresh steamed veggies so I would not think they would have a problem doing this. They had very good service so I would imagine they would be very accomodating.

By far, this was the best meal we've had at DLRP.

Inventions also have good quality food - buffet style. There are lots of choices but I don't remember seeing many veggies that would be suitable for a one yr old to finger-eat. However, the waiter we had here was absolutely brilliant with children and very helpfull. Also the chefs are constantly coming to the buffet area (the kitchens are directly behind the buffet area) to top up and refresh food - so they can easily be asked.

Sorry - can't help with Blue Lagoon

We ate at the Blue Lagoon in March, 2 adults had the Colonial chicken curry, which was around 16 euros, I and the other adult had the grilled fillet of beef with jamaican pepper and lemon potatoes ( this was absolutley delicious, in fact my favourite meal of the visit) it was around 27 euros, and I think it was one of the most expensive of the main courses, kids menu is 10 euros, teenagers menu is 15 euros, adult desserts are around the 8 euro mark, the "sugar coated expedition" is slightly dearer but wonderful and enough for 2 to share.
Drinks are fairly expensive, my alcohol free cocktail cost about 7 euros.

Can't help with the question about finger food for the little one -sorry.

Did you realise that if you click on "menu" and then lunch, dinner etc. at the DLP food guide site it will actually come up with the full menu and prices for each dish. :)

We were charged about 42€ per adult at inventions and DD (2) ate free. I'm sure they would rustle up some veggies for your baby. :goodvibes

walts entrees were in the twenty something range ala carte I thing in the thirties for prix fix. I loved this restaurant. They had something called a teenage menu which was 15 euros which was terrific. I don't want to scare you but I don't think cooking off menu is something the french do easily but they did for us at walts. I think they would try to help you out. City hall in the park helps with things like special diets they may be able to give you some direction.

Thanks for all your excellent info- this board is such a useful resource!
I didn't know about looking at the menus on the food guide. I've now looked and the food looks great. There's lots my little one will eat!

Thanks again,

Sally
