I know a lot of people are either going to the Inventions brunch soon or have recently been, so I thought I'd start a separate thread rather than asking on other people's threads. We're going to DLP in Nov/Dec, and I think the Inventions brunch would be a lovely last treat before we catch the Eurostar home on the Sunday evening. I'm still umming and ahhing about the cost a little though ;)

The main problem is that MIL, who's coming with us, is vegetarian. I know they do cater for veggies, but is she going to get her moneys worth and have enough of a choice? She is quite picky (I reckon she's a supertaster) and doesn't like anything with the even merest hint of spices of chilli. I'm not sure how she'd feel about lots of dressed salads etc. She does love her brie.. perhaps she could just eat 59E worth of brie?! :rotfl2:

So basically, if you're a vegetarian or happen to have taken notice of the veggie options on a recent trip, could you please comment here and let me know what sort of things are on offer? Thankyou! :thumbsup2

It's €64 now, that's a heck of a lot of brie! :rotfl:

We've booked the brunch for a couple of weeks time so I'll try and remember to see what's available, it's Italian themed the day we go.

If you look in the Inventions review topic I did post an extensive amount of photos there from my July 15 visit. The CMs were joking I took pictures of every leaf of salad. ;)

Your MIL may be a bit limited with main courses - I remember two vegetarian options. But the starter section is very extensive with lots of vegetarian choices.

Thanks Vala. The food looks lovely. I had seen your photos but wasn't sure what was in all the dishes (speaking of which the mislabelled stuff - how dodgy?!) I guess if worst comes to worst she could make herself a main course from lots of starters and accompaniments. I've never seen her eat that much anyway.. she'll be shocked at how much I can put away when I put my mind to it! ;)

Thankfully the mislabelling issue has not showed up on the last three visits anymore. *fingers crossed*

The vegetarian dishes I remember from three weeks ago were potatoes in a cheddar sauce (they probably considered this an add on, but I could happy have eaten this as a main without anything), some sort of Ratatouille (it was a hint of spicy, but no chilli) and something else with vegetables that I didn't try as I was too busy with the potatoes and had to save room for the dessert. :rolleyes1

The Italian one had a vegetarian pizza and boyfriend said the lasagna was only tomatoes, no meat. I remember something else with vegetables, but for my life can't recall what it was.

That's all we remember unfortunately. He's a self proclaimed meat-a-tarian and I am too busy squealing at the characters. ;)
