Just been browsing DLPguide and reading the menus. The Inventions one mentions "a roast carved to your order" for the evening character meal. Is this a new addition? This certainly wasn't an option I was aware of at our last two visits.

No, that's been there ever since I've been going.

It's quite easy to overlook though. It's mostly set up beind the middle buffet part. When the CM cutting the roast isn't there (and that is a lot of the time) it's really not obvious that it is actually there. There's only a tiny sign and because even that is set up on the part behind the actual buffet area it's really easy to overlook.

It's really hard to describe, I am blanking on some English words right now.

Here's a picture, the roast of the day is behind the Croque Monsieur.

Thanks Vala, I obviously totally missed this. TBH - it will probably be too rare for me to want anyway!

Really hoping our meal here is better than this Feb gone. I am still in a huff with hubby that he hadn't taken Valentines Day off so we could have been there for brunch. It was my must do! :sad1:

You're welcome.

Most of the times I remember seeing looking at it it was rack of lamb or something like that anyway, and that's even more tricky with the meat being cooked too rare. I never tried it either just for the same reasons.

I'm going next week, I'll make sure to pay close attention this time.

It's always been there when we've gone but it's always been too rare for me.

If it's turkey like they serve in restaurant des star you will be fine. I don't mind my meat rare now but use do so I know how people feel

I'm pretty sure it was always beef for us although it's been a few years now.

Had lamb on our last visit it was very pink but it tasted absolutely delicious! Like others have said it's hard to see if chef not standing beside but he comes over to it if you ask a cm on duty enjoy:-D

Yesterday (New Orleans brunch) it was veal loin. Pictures will follow.

I actually ended up trying it although I am not a particular fan of veal and was very pleasantly surprised.

My problem was more that apparently someone had decided food New Orleans style meant they had to put shrimps in and on pretty much everything. At least this time it was obvious and not like at the last brunch where shrimps hidden in a vegetarian dish gave me a bad allergy attack. So for the first time ever I found myself really limited with food choices.
