Inventions buffet

I would want Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto in fact I would want them all there, every single character there is. :)

Characters were Lilo, Stitch, Minnie, Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale.

Considering the scrums around Stitch when he was out during "Meet the Disney Stars" in DHS Backlot getting a picture without random kids pushing in was worth paying a certain premium to me. ;)

Is it still a themed bruch on Sunday? Saw pics of a hawaiian (sp?) theme on the restaurant review thread. Looked yummy

Just back from our long holiday to Yorkshire, London, Chessington and DLP.

We went to Inventions 3 times whilst we were there - we love it so much!

Will post lots of piccies and reviews when I get a chance, but I can really recommend it.

Mickey was there every time (like he was last time), so I guess he is always at the buffet. Other characters included Chip, Dale, Goofy, Minnie, Tigger, Gideon, Geppeto, Pinocchio, and Captain Hook over the different days.

Best dish they served was a duck in orange sauce that was lovely. Went very nice with some baby new potatoes in cheese sauce, green beans and mange tout! :goodvibes

We changed our 8pm reservation to 6.30 (the time it opened) on our first night - it was so quiet, that the character interaction was great - Chip and Dale taught me how to tell the difference between them, then did a dance for us, for example. We ate at that time every night after that.

Another night Captain Hook tried to play my son's new 3DS with his hook, before Mickey showed him how to play it properly!

Will post all the piccies when I get them off the camera.

Yes, still themed brunch and the theme is still Hawaii. They were switching around different themes when it started, but according a CM I spoke to they will keep Hawaii because it is quite popular.

There was veal too on another night, plus they had a carvery of veal one night which was also very nice! I know veal isn't very PC, but I must admit I love it! ;)

Other nice dishes included medallions of beef, and lamb cutlets. The dishes varied from night to night which was good.

I had a plate full of crab claws one night - never usually do that sort of stuff because I can't be bothered with picking them properly - the cost/benefit just isn't worth it. I wouldn't ever order it off a menu, but on a buffet I go for them. Couldn't bring myself to try the basket of snails that were there though!

Hi all,
Just to let you know I got an email back from Disney yesterday and they said the dinner buffet has characters whereas the lunch time one doesn't and the dinner buffet also has a few more dishes.

Sunday is the only day the characters are out for dinner and lunch. DLPaddict meant to correct the earlier posted e-mail saying characters are only out for dinner. Sunday is the exception where they are out for both.
