Jim, handed out our personalized menu’s. It took a minute for everyone to realize that their picture was on the menu. The look on the faces were priceless.

I was begining to get VERY annoyed with the time and that stupid recording about staying in our seats. I was not willing to jump......yet. No we did not get to see it this trip. I could not get CL back on it. We have seen it before so I was ok with it. We loved it but, maybe next time.

I had toooo many pics in my last update to post these. So here are a couple of the personalized menu at CR.

This one is for ED, where ever she is. I haven't seen her here in a while. I guess I need to track her down on Scott's TR. She did not think I would bring the Fry Daddy with me. I did not use it thanks to the DDP upgrade, but I DID bring it with me.

I think it would be kind of neat to be stuck on Soarin. but then again it wasnt me that was stuck. Did they just let everyone off without going through again? I would think they would just start it over, but it seems that you missed it.

The menus came out great! I did that too. We went in Sept for my 40th b-day. (which was 5 weeks later) and I called and set up a menu and a diver with a sign that said "Happy 40th birthday Carrie" they did a great job. the only proble was that Annie (5) had to pee right before the diver was scheduled to come out. luckily my 14yo offered to take her, because he came while they were in the b-room! I would`ve missed my own sign. the kids did though. I asked for the sign.

Grey Gooses and Fireworks​

Our plans for today is to do AK all day and catch Illuminations tonight and do AK again tomorrow afternoon after breakfast with Cinderella. CL decides that she does not want to do AK for a day and a half so she wanted to do a few more things at MK and do AK after lunch. Notice, this was not a question!!!


Since we are going to head straight to AK from MK we pack all of our “water” cloths, which include ponchos, my LSU crocs, flip flops and Zip bags in preparation of KRR ride.

Ok, so we head out to MK while the others leave for AK. I think CL just likes to park hop. I think she wanted some time just the 3 of us too. She doesn’t like to share me toooo much. I would have preferred to go to catch up on a couple of shows at DHS but I wus out numbered. Crowds are good and the weather is great. We did the TTA and I was a little concerned because it seemed like SM was broken every time we went by it and I might get to see everything that Buzz said he saw that keeps him from going back on it now. Lucky, SM is ok I we can’t see anything more that the flash of the “glow-in-the dark” lines on the spaceships.


I did want to see the Tiki show, since I haven’t seen it since I was a lot younger. Not quite the same as it was back then, but I did see it and now I don’t have to do it again.


Of course the Tiki is right next to the magic carpet ride and DD luv’s this one and wanted to ride. I just stood on the side and watched the camel spit on all the people. One man got spit on and looked at a couple of kids that were close by and laughing, thinking they had done it to him, until he got spit on a second time.

We then go in search of decorating ideas for the new house, that we hope to start building later this year, from the Robinson family. I think I like it here. CL did not realize how TALL this tree was. I don’t think she is liking this house too much. Me and DD could be happy in a place like this. Gotta luv my little Country Girl.

BG just called and asked how long before we meet them that there are no lines anywhere and they were about ready to hit KRR. CL & DD agree to start heading out until we see Capt. Jack and they both want to stop and drool. Well CL does, DD just wants to see a show and watch me pout about another detour.

Which way do we go now???

I finally DRAG them away from the show so we can eat before we head leave. We stop at The Plaza for lunch. A nice CM came by the table and noticed DD’s pins and asked her who her favorite Character is. Of course it is Tink. He did not have one on him so he said “I’ll be right back”. He came back with a card with two Tink’s, one to keep and one for her to give to someone else. She was sooo happy. She even got over her shy-ness and told him thank you too. She eventually traded one with another CM.

Now out the park and catch a bus to AK. It is at this time a find out that there is not a bus from MK to AK. So we decide to go take a look at AKL. Then from there to AK.


We get to AK and want to take one of the AK Photopass pictures at the gate. I notice that the first guy we see is from the same small city that I grew up in. IASW. We get our little “hi’s” out of the way take the pic and call BG to let him know that we are on our way to KRR.

We meet everyone at snack shop outside the gate and get changed. LB says she is not going so she will sit with all our bags till we get back. We are attempting to hurry because the wait time says 5 mins and want to take advantage of it. We get in line and guess what? Less than 5 mins WaHoo. We get off and the kids (and me & BG) are wanting to go again. CL says what about LB sitting with our stuff. “JON” (LB’s DH) says, “we will just tell her the line was longer than 5 mins. Let’s do it again. We just go to where the rope starts (not all the way to the beginning) and go back to the ride. After the second time JON says one more time, the line was very, very long. On the 4th time we had a nice young family get on with all of the stuff in their laps and mom with a white shirt on. We finally convinced them to get their shoes and other belongings put in the center dry thingy just before we got to the top of the incline. I also warned the white shirt lady, she might want to cover up before we got soaked.


At the end of the ride, this time, the CM said we could stay on the raft until our feet turned purple. He is an Auburn fan (an SEC rival) and noticed my “purple” LSU crocs. Anyway, we ended up going 5 times in a row. The kids were starting to turn purple as they begged (and shivered) to go again, so we thought it might be a good idea to get back to our bags and hope that LB was still there.


The only one that stayed kinda dry would be CL because she held a poncho tightly over her head and shirt. She is the only one that was not dripping wet. The rest of us took great pride in not staying dry. We even attempted on one pass to put all the “heavy-weights” next to each other in order to make that side go down the fall first. Me, BG, JON, along with DD (I don’t know how she managed but she was right in the middle of it and got pulled, by BG, face first into the “big splash”…….It worked!!!!!!


LB did not look too mad, as far as I know. If I ask Jon he might say different, but at the time I don’t think he as too concerned. We all stood on the side of the walk area in the sun with kids laying down on the pavement warming up. I was shaking the water off CL’s poncho when I overheard a young couple walk by and the lady said, “maybe we should get some ponchos before we go on the rapids”. I got there attention when I said, while dipping wet, “I don’t think they don’t work very good”. At that point the sweet young lady turned back to her husband and said, “I am not going on that ride today”.


We, all the “grown ups” except CL, decided to go on EE while she and the kids went to play in DinoLand. After all we did need to dry off before we got back on the bus to BWV.
