Since I'm less than two weeks away, I am starting to stress about the small details. So I am lying in bed last night thinking about the introductions and the first dance. Can any past bride explain this process in detail to me? So they introduce the bridal party and then us last, and then we go into the first dance? How on earth do you make that transition? Maybe I am over thinking it. Do we go to our seats first, set my bouquet down, and then start the first dance? I'm confused.

I'm not a "past" bride yet :goodvibes, but I can tell you from the number of weddings I've been to that this should be a very smooth transition. Are you having a DJ? If so, that will make things even easier. You are correct, they introduce the bridal party (if you want them to), and then the bride and groom, and then the MC will say something like "And now the bride and groom will share their first dance". And you would just walk out to the dance floor and begin your dance. As far as the bouquet, if you are still holding on to it when you get there, you can just set it on a table or it may be easier to hand it to somebody (a designated person to hold for you).

That being said, you don't have to do it in that order. We aren't. We are going to walk in the room and have everybody eat first, and then after everybody's eaten, then we will do the first dance.

Don't stress too much! It will work out fine!! Your wedding will be so wonderful! And you are almost only a week away, how exciting!!

Don't stress, these details will all work themselves out and your Planner will make sure it all goes according to plan. If you're having a DJ, he'll announce everything and it will be very smooth. I think we walked in, and then the DJ played an upbeat song or two and everyone danced, then we had our first dance, then toasts I think, and dinner, lol, it's funny how I don't even really remember the order now, but it was very seamless and I really didn't have to worry about anything.

The traditional way would be to do it as soon as you walk in. We wanted a lot of dancing, so that's why he played a song or two to get everyone dancing first before our dance.

It's true. All the Disney DJs are very familiar with how it all happens. Very professional, very smooth, and pretty exciting as well.

No worries, your DJ will take care of you!
