Introduction and Room Block help please :-)

Hi everyone. My name is Erin and I'm a future Disney Bride.
I only posted once before, but I'm right now in the process of planning my Fairy Tale Wedding for December 30. The ceremony will be at the Wedding Pavilion with a reception at The Atlantic Dance Hall.
I'm really excited but also pretty stressed. When we set aside our room block we thought we would have no problem filling it but, since the save the dates went out, most of my dad's side of the family who we were counting on to fill the rooms, have rented a house outside Disney. So we may fall short of the 75 that we guaranteed.
This is the Holiday season so if anyone of you board-readers are planning to be in the Disney area, we would really appreciate if you could perhaps donate your reservation #. There is a chance we may fill the block but I want to be prepared just in case. It's one of the many stresses I don't want to worry about anymore.

Hi! I wish I were going to Disney then - I'd love to help you out! And I totally hear you - my DF's family of 10 is shacking up in some crummy condo for our wedding - grrrrrrr!

If you don't get any replies to this thread, you might try posting this request under something like "Are You Going to WDW Dec. [dates]?" Also, I don't know if the resorts board is as friendly as this one, but there are pr'olly a bunch of people there who are going in December!

You are getting married the day after me!
We thought that we would have enough to fill our block too , but it didn't work out, so we changed things around and talked my family into staying longer, its their first time there so it wasn't too hard (except on the pocket book)
But I would definately check over on the resort boards. I met a few people that are on these boards in Aug. and they said that they know of quite a few people who have used someone's room block.
I'm sure you should be able to find someone willing to help.
