Howdy everyone! I've been lurking these boards for quite a while this summer, thinking about the day my boyfriend would propose to me and I could come on here and join you guys in talking about wedding planning and all the joys of being a Disney Bride. Well, this past Saturday, me and my boyfriend (oops I mean DF I guess!) got engaged 
, and here I am to tell you all about it! 
Well, this past weekend we were planning to celebrate our 7 year anniversary
in Houston, but as there was a huge hurricane coming to the coast of Texas we finally decided to change our plans at the last min. and go to Dallas instead. I was a little frustrated about this because i really didn't want to drive 3 hrs. just to go to eat a really nice dinner, i would have rather stayed home and rented movies and pizza. But i finally told Chris, my DF, that if he really wanted to take me up there i would go. So we leave on Friday 12th for Dallas, TX. We stay with my brother and sister-in-law they live in Plano,TX. That night we go out for a nice dinner at Cafe Amore, which if you want some amazing Italian food that is your place. So we go back to the apt and watch a movie called "The Story of Us", which is also a very good movie. When i wake up the next morning i finally, after an hour and half of trying to go back to sleep, tell Chris that i have to get up and this is like 8:30. So we get up and go watch cartoon, and then at 9:30 my DF and my brother walked into the room with 3 envelops in each of their hands and said " Take these and open the first one after you get into the car, we have a wonderful day planned for you" So Kristin, my sister-in-law which is more like my own sister, get ready and get in the car. Now i have been waiting the this moment for several months now because i knew Chris was cooking up something good for our anniversary. So i open up the first envelop and read " Go out and by you a dress and shoes for tonight, but make the dress yellow, you know what kind of yellow i am talking about. And it has to be a evening gown, i will see you tonight and open the next letter at 11am" Along with this letter there was a $350.00 visa debit card inside.

So we keep on looking till 11am and then we opened the 2nd letter and it said " go home and get ready dinner is at 8:15 sharp. Look in the 3rd letter to see where we are going." and in Kristin's it said " Go home after your enjoy this gift card to have lunch on me. Open the 3rd letter after you get home, and the address of where we are going tonight is inside it." I quickly open up my 3rd letter to see where we were going tonight, but all it said was " Get ready dinner is at 8:15 sharp and i will see you tonight. Oh and the address is in Kristin's 3rd letter." So we went and found the place that we were suppose to have lunch at La Madeline's ate lunch and we both enjoyed a lemon tart for dessert. So i think of the brillant idea to call my mom and see if she could remember and look up where i had gotten my prom dress, but she didn't but she figured my Aunt Sue did and she did. She looked up the stores. My mom gave me the information and Kristin and I went to it. It's name was "Wachamacallits Fashion". We go in and find the yellow section finally find a dress that fits and of course it was a $500.00 dress. So Kristin goes to talk to the lady and tells her our situation, and she eventually drops the price down to $230.00 then they had some shoes there and I got some silver ballroom dancing shoes for like $25.00 which were originally $65.00. And we also had to get some alterations that they managed to finish in a 1 hour, so everything was finished and ready by 2pm. And they Kristin said to me I don't know what i am going to do with my hair, cause she had just cut it off really short. So we ended up going to a hair salon and paying a lady in total $150.00 for 2 updos 
and some pretty hair pins to make them sparkle. I was really mad about mine, because it was all curls and she put some much stuff on it that they fell. After that we headed back to the apt. It was about 4:30 when we finally got there and we sat around for like an hour and a half before we slowly got ready.

, which by the way were trembling like crazy. In the back ground there were 2 violin players that were playing "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera, "Beauty and the Beast" from Beauty and the Beast, and Cannon in D. My DF goes into a speech that i will not repeat to you unfortunately because he has requested that, those words are for me to hear only. After his absolutely eye watering speech, he turns me to the side and takes our a small box and opens it and says the magic words "Will you marry me?". I of course said "Yes!!!".
, and while i was hugging him he asked me in my ear " do you want to put on the ring?" and so i of course again said " OMG, Yes!" 
It almost seemed like the CIA needed to be involved! Too cool though.
