Hi All Disney fans!!

Thought it was about time that I jumped in and said hi, I have been lurking for a while now, planing my trip for Feb.

Anyways, I'm Crystal, married to Sterling, aka Goofy. We have 2 little princesses, 2 1/2 and 7 months.
This will be our first trip in over 2 years, our older DD was 3 months last time we went. So I'm very excited to be going again. The main purpose of this trip is to celebrate my mother being done with her cemo, and its going to fall on my parents 36th wedding anniversery.
We are going with a good sized group of 10 people and will be driving down.
So I'm just really excited to be going and want to thank you for all the help.

Welcome to the DIS from another Washington state mom! I hope you and your family have a memorable trip! :goodvibes

Welcome! Hope you have a great trip! After my DM finished her chemo we went to WDW. She told her Dr. that's what she would be doing but I don't think he believed her. We went in Dec. 2003 and had a great time. My DM even enjoyed wearing her wig-always a good hair day and it kept her head warm! :rotfl2: (it was pretty cold that Dec.) And no worries wearing it on rides-it stayed on great.

She's now been cancer free for over 5 years now and still going strong. We're planning on going back to WDW Sept. 09 and since we live close to DLR, we go there quite often.

Have a wonderful trip! :grouphug:

:welcome: out of your lurking mode! You will soon find you are a DIS addict! There is just something about this place (or maybe it's finding a place with others who share the love of Disney! :confused3 ).

Your trip sounds like quite a celebration! Congrats to your mom and to both your parents for their anniversary. So... te us about your trip or what questions you have.

P.S. You need to reach a certain number of posts before you can send PMs so feel free to reply on your thread all the time to bump up your post count until you reach the required number (10???). Just a DIS tip.

Welcome from another Wa state(travel alot) Disney Vet.

Welcome to the Dis!!!! Congrats to your Mom!!! YAY!!! I'm sure you will have a wonderful trip full of magic and memories!!

Hello Crystal!

It is very nice to meet you!
I hope that you and your family, especially so your mother, will have a most wonderfull, magical and exciting trip and visit to Disneyland, to California as well as to the Anaheim area.

I hope so very much that your mother beats the patooty out of cancer. And that she will win what can become a most arduous battle.

Hi! Welcome to the Dis! I hope you have a great time on your trip!:goodvibes

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

We are going to drive down the 15th of feb and be in the park from the 16-21st. After that my hubby/kids and I are going up to truckee to visit DH's grandparents.
This trip is going to be a much longer stay than we have done in the past so its going to be so much fun takeing our time and really enjoying everything.
We all love disneyland, so its just tons of fun, my family even converted my DH to loveing DL.

I'm sure that I will have more questions as time gets closer, but right now I'm wondering if they will be doing the electric light parade or the fireworks in Feb.

Thanks!:tinker:

Hi Crystal, and welcome to the DIS, especially our corner of it. I do think we have the nicest community here. :goodvibes

First of all, congratulations to your mom for being done with chemo. I bet that is such a relief to all of you. And, you are choosing a wonderful reason for celebrating at the Land, especially since they'll be celebrating their anniversary, too.

Sounds like you all are going to have a great time on your trip. I would imagine, though, that Disney's Electrical Parade, the fireworks, and Fantasmic won't be running at that time, as it's low season. Still, there are so many things to do you'll have a great time. :)

That is quite a drive going back up to Truckee. Are you going up the 395, or driving up on the California side?

We did this last time and drove up I-5 to I-80 It took us 8 hours last time. If you know a faster way please share :)

Hello from another Washington Mom. Congratulations on your Mom's treatment as well as the anniversary. Both are well deserving of a wonderful celebration at DLR. My family and 3 others from Washington will be there the week of Feb. 14 to the 22nd as well. 3 of us are at the Howard Johnson and 1 family is at the DLH. There is a lot of speculation about the fireworks, parades etc, and so far nobody really knows. But hoping for at least Fantasmic on the weekend. Regardless, I know we will have a wonderful time, and your family will too. Tracey
