Thought I would introduce myself.

My DH, myself and my DD (7) and DS (4) are going to Disneyland February 7-16, 2008. We bought the five day park hopper passes.

We are Canadian (Red Deer Alberta) and are doing the package through Westjet vacations. Love the exchange rate when I booked.

My DH and I have been to Disney numerous times in the 90's, but never with kids before (except ourselves that is). LOL.

Wondering about where to find height restrictions for rides.

I am celebrating a birthday while I am down there.

:welcome: to the Dis.. I have never been to Dl before so I can't help with your questions, but I am sure someone knows the answers just wanted to welcome you

Welcome!! This is a great place, you will love it!! I too have never been to DL, but I am sure that someone will help you out with the height restrictions!!

Welcome Oscar!! Glad you joined us!! Go over to the Disneyland board, they are a wealth of information. Hydroguy(regular poster there) has tips that are really useful.

Welcome to the Canadian Board! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Nice to meet you!

How exciting ... DL is on my "list of things to do someday", so I look forward to hearing about your trip. :goodvibes

Hi Oscar! Glad you came over to the CAD board! We live in Calgary. I lived in Red Deer for 16 years! We have been to DL many times! The DIS has lots of info. Below is some info on the height restrictions. Explore and you will find lots of info!

Make sure you go to City Hall when you get to the park and pick up your birthday button on your special day! Just wait and see what kind of attention you may receive......
We have been to Disney for a few birthday's it's always great to do a charater meal on your day as well.

You should check to see if they still do the "Birthday Celebration" at DL. It was $10/person and included a cupcake that you decorated, hat, drink, and special visit with Mickey and Minnie. There's no age restriction, but you do have to call and make reservation. I did it last year with my DDs and it was a nice break to the afternoon.

Here's some photos:

Here's an old thread (at the DL board) on celebrating birthdays:

I did a lot of reserach for out trip last year... first time on the west coast... so if you need links for any other info (Dining, maps, general info), just let me know and I'll post them for you.

Happy planning :goodvibes

When we celebrated Birthdays at Disney we found that if you were a hat or T-shirt with a "Today is my birthday" design on it, the CM's gave us some extra special attention. I used some Logo's over on the creative design boards to make up my own.

And welcome/bienvenue to the boards!

Welcome from another from Red Deer Area. Someone suggested going to the other Dis site. That is the best way to find everything. Hydro guys tips are awesome. Where are you staying?

Here's another site with height restriction information

wow three from red deer, that is lots. LOL.

thanks for the heights, it helps, my little guy is little and I needed to know what kind of platform shoes to buy him. Just kidding.

We are staying at Camelot Inn & Suites..........

DH is going to go to the NHRA drag races on the weekend, looking for transportation for him for that. We are not renting a car.

Wieczoreks. It is a small world. I lived in Caroline for 5 years, and grew up around Spruce View.
