Hi Ben!! DLRP is definitely worth a visit!! :)

Hiya, I am Diane, 36, married to Barry with 2 lovely little princesses Alicia,8 and Louise, 6. I am a teaching assistant for Year 5/6 classes, and hope to teacher train within the next year or two. And I have just self-published my first book, very exciting!

We had our first trip to DLRP as a family a week or so ago and I am already planning for us to go back! We bought annual passes so no excuse not to! We loved everything about Disneyland Paris, hard to pick favourites. I'm not as brave as a lot of you on here so didn't do the big stuff like TOT etc, but loved IASW and PP and even did the Star Wars one-very brave for me!!

I have found some really great tips and useful info on here, so big thanks to all, hope in time I can be a bit of use to others on here.

Welcome Ben & welcome Diane. We are a crazy but friendly bunch so if you have any questions someone is bound to be able to help you all:thumbsup2

Hey all! :) Thought I'd add myself to this! I am a 27 year old guy from Lancashire, who lives in St Annes on Sea with his beautiful girlfriend Rebecca 22, who's put up with me for 5 years this Thursday 21st! As a surprise for her, I am treating her to a 4 day trip to DLP this Friday, as an encore to our 3 week WDW extravaganza earlier this year! She is gonna freak!! :yay:
We are both such a couple of softheads for each other, and love Disney, laughing and being daft in general! :rotfl:
We lived in London for a few years when we first got together, living on a pittance in one of the most expensive cities in the world. We decided to start a new life 2 years ago by moving back up north, as it's never too late to change your circumstance (I'm from Liverpool originally, and she's from Northanmpton). It's been tough going starting a new life, but it's all good now. We had never had a holiday in the whole time of being together due to finances, so it had to be Disney for the first one!
It was such an amazing trip, but we only get 20 days holiday a year (we both sell property for a living), so I thought I'd make the most of the last bank holiday in the year to have a sneaky trip to Monsieur Mouse!
So excited now!!
I love these boards, as there is never any negativity, and every newby question is treated with respect and helpfulness. :thumbsup2
I love the DISboards!
This is us below at the Pirates and Princess Party!

Hi and welcome - annual passes are a great excuse to keep going back :thumbsup2

I guess I better introduce myself. I'm Jennie, married to Bill. We are going to Disneyland Paris 8/29 - 9/1 as our first anniversary trip (our actual anniversary is the 1st). We just moved to the UK at the beginning of July, courtesy of the US military, and get to move into our house this weekend--finally! Needless to say, this is our first trip to Disneyland Paris (and may be our ONLY) so we are going to try to cram as much as we can into our 4 days.

I've been to WDW MANY times and Bill has been twice. We did the Disney Cruise (on the Magic) for our honeymoon. Mickey and Minnie were on top of our wedding cake, so can you see a theme here?

We don't have any human kids yet, but are the proud parents of a furbaby named Sadie (a pointer mix), who's currently living with my folks in the states and we are counting down to the end of her quarantine when she can come join us!

I've been on here a while but never introduced myself either so here it goes...

I'm Gemma I live in Newcastle (will close to it), im 25 and work in regeneration/property as does my boyfriend who is also 25. No children, or pets at the moment as we are big kids ourselves!

I have loved disney since my first trip to WDW in 1993, I then went to Eurodisney (as it was then) in 1994. Have returned to both a couple of times with friends and family, and since I have been together with the bf we have been to DLRP once in 2006, and went to WDW in Jan 2008.

I have since become addicted to disney, and following a job promotion this summer we have decided to treat ourselves to a disney trip this winter. We are also saving up to go to Japan for 3 weeks next year to visit my brother who lives out there and visit Tokyodisneyland!

Me too - had better introduce myself, haven't actually done so yet.

I'm Liz, married to Ben, we live in Medway in north kent. I work in London in a law firm so get the joys of being a commuter. B works locally doing something techie with computer programming and I am very jealous of his 20 min drive to work.

We first went to DLP in 2000 and have been back pretty much every year since, I think we are up to our ninth trip in Nov this year. We got engaged there (I think most people know about the whole 'proposed to outside Buzz Lightyear Pizza Planet story now); we too had a mickey/minnie cake topper; honeymooned there and have been back for almost every anniversary.

I'm a huge fan of the DLH and although we have stayed in other hotels, we keep coming back to the DLH - back again on 13 Nov this year. We like fast thrill rides and the whole general atmosphere of the place; not so bothered about characters. My favourite ride is BTM and B's is ToT. We both loathe IASW (sorry)

I am about to start not one but two OU courses to get another bachelors in a different subject to my original one so if I go a bit quiet from time to time then you know why - assignment week!

My user name comes from a very cute pic that I have on my desktop....cute kitten which says "Emergency Kitten~: In case of emergency break glass (gently)"

I like this smilie best :laundy: simply because I have never seen it before!

Hello!!

How exciting! DLRP is absolutely beautiful! You'll love it!! I'm very positive you will find out all the info you could ever wish to know about it here, we're a helpful (and DLRP obsessed!) bunch!

:dance3:

I'm another one grateful to the bump for this. Been hanging around in DLRP board for a long while but never actually introduced myself proper like.

I'm Jane (30) Disney addict, married to Heath (40) who has caught the disease. No kids or pets.

I'm a patent attorney by day which involves helping people and companies protect their inventions.

I've been to various Disney parks so many times i can't remember exactly but its something like DLRP (10 times), WDW (2 times) and DL (3 times) but it'll never be enough. My first visit was WDW aged 14.

Currently a EuroDisney shareholder and AP holder, and so far in 2008 I've been to both US parks (one of which was a solo trip *** i was in California on business) and DLRP already, and off again to DLRP for another week in Sept/Oct.

I tend to browse around here, DL and the Photography boards mostly, and pipe up if i have something useful to say.

My other true passion is rugby and autumn 2007 i was lucky enough to go to both Rugby World Cup semi finals in Paris while staying at DLRP. It was near enough my perfect weekend (Rugby and Disney) the only way it could have been better if Wales had been there.

Anyway, feel like i know who plenty of you are already through your posts. Keep up the good work.

Both DH and I have always loved Disney and our DDs have been so totally brainwashed they do not have any say in the matter. When DH proposed he said one day we would go to WDW…..I don’t think either of us realised it would take us nearly 17 years! :rotfl2:

Well like you my husband and I have always loved Disney so much that our 2 dont get a say in the matter!!!!

Anyway..........

I'm Jude, married to Steve. Steve has 1 daughter from his previous marriage - my step daughter - Rhianna 14 (her sign in name is Minnie Much) and Steve and I have 1 daughter - Amber 2 and a half. I am a stay at home mum to Amber. My husband and I run our own business - Phoenix Gardens Horticulture Ltd, and he has had the pleasure of visiting and advising the horticultural team at DLRP.

My first trip to WDW was cancelled when I was 18. I had to wait until many years later when Steve and I went on our Honeymoon in 2001. We went back there with my step daughter in 2004 for our all of our milestone birthdays............!!!!!

Our first trip to DLRP was with my in laws in August 1997. We have been going back every year since - sometimes even twice a year.

My step daughter has never complained about going there year after year, I think she loves it as much as us - conditioned maybe!!!! It is a well known fact that it is the only place on this earth that my husband switches off from work!!!!!

So far our 2 year old is a Disney nut, she has many favourites but I think "Biggerboat" is her most favourite (would be interested if anyone can translate this - I obviously know!!!!), again she has been conditioned - limited to watching only Play House Disney on the TV and Disney DVDs occasionally. The worrying thing is that her friends all like Dora the Explorer and I think I am fighting a losing battle with that one!!!!!!

Thats me!!!!

:cheer2:
